  1. Here is one pic. For some reason all the pictures didn't make it to Photo Bucket. I'll try again later. We had a pretty good turn out. The girl we had take the pic zoomed back a little too far but we're still there. It was good finally meeting so many from this site. A good bunch indeed. (Hope I do the pic right) http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d70/LEOK9Trainer/DSC_0079.jpg
  2. Hope this pic turns out. http://photos-c.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc1/hs260.snc1/10728_173441268720_167539198720_2846286_2357077_n.jpg
  3. Latest add-on to my 05 midnight venture. Here is my write up on the install with some pics. Installed grip heaters made by Symtec (www.symtec-inc.com) (pic 1). Purchased from http://phatperformaceparts.com for $39.95. After I removed the throttle grip and seen the ribs under the rubber grip (pic 2) had to carve of the ribs off the plastic throttle sleeve in order to attach the heater. Used a box cutter to cut them off, they came off pretty easy. Once I had them removed, attached the heater with the wires at the right position, did not glue the heater as the instructions called for (pic 3). I re-installed the grip over the heater very carefully. The Clutch grip (pic 3a) was a little easier, did have to trim some off the chrome plastic end (pic 3b) to allow the wired end of the heater to fit on the bar. Attached the heater to the bar and slipped the grip over the heater and bar. Wires were long enough to route down the handlebar to the sides of the under the tank. Left some slack on the throttle side(pic 4) to allow movement of the throttle. I removed the tank and seat in order to finish wiring, I installed a relay at the battery area in order to connect to my switch control accessory switch (pic 5) wire which is mounted on left handlebar. I installed this a year ago, purchased from http://www.cruisercustomizing.com It has two push locking switches Top- my red LED lights under bike, Lower- grip heaters, they have a red LED to indicate that they are on. The switches are on an un-switched 12v from the battery. I installed a three position switch on the tank chrome cover(pic 6) for the HI/OFF/LO control, wired the three wire switch to a three pin plug in order so it can removed (pic 7). The three pin connector has 12v from relay, HI & LO wires from heaters. I connected the ground wires from the heaters to a bolt on the frame. I also installed a fuse holder on the 12v from the battery to the relay. They recommend a 3 or 4 amp fuse. I have a 3 amp so far works good. From the first I turned the heaters on, they warmed up pretty fast. Have used them on the cool mornings we have had lately. Wish I would have had them installed before the cold weather hit. I have used them with my regular summer groves and the winter leather groves, great so far. The temperature here is going back up, so LO has been good for now. Time will tell how long these heaters will last; one point for failure will be the wires where they connect to the heaters, especially the throttle side. Luckily we don’t need them very much down here. But since I ride all year round, hope it will make the cold ride into town and back home nicer when I am on the late shift this time of year. My hands were the only parts that were feeling the cold. Hope this write up shows enough. It was fairly easy, about an hour and a half to complete.
  4. Ok I've been patient enough. I want to see the group pic from sat at Tybee Island. I got a whole different altitude for that one. Margaret
  5. I was just checking out the yamaha web site and came across a new pic of an 03 RSV in the pic tour section. Custom paint, very nice!
  6. Canadian Tire has a new product line and I found these for $30 ... halogen 35watt. They look a lot better than the ones I had plus they're brighter. First pic is what I had.

  11. I am working on a project with the Louvered inserts in the side covers of my 87'VR and need a Louvered insert for the LEFT SIDE. I am looking for one that has the Louvers broken because I am going to remove them anyway. I have attached a pic of the RIGHT SIDE Louvered insert I am going to use for this project to give you an Idea of what I am looking for only I need the oppisite side from the one in the pic. I am willing to cover the shipping, and promise to post pics when I am finished in case anyone is interested in the results. Can someone please help me out on this? Thanks in advance, Earl
  12. My daughter-in-law took a pic of my bike and photo shopped it. My bike is pretty much stock, but I think the pic looks great. What do you think? craigr
  13. I was one of the first to jump on Condor's MAC muffler offer a few weeks ago. They arrived safe & sound & looked awesome in the box. I had to wait for the never-ending rains to finally move through, and MacGyver some impromptu gaskets as the previous owner (or at least one of the 5 previous owners) had used a metal reinfoced muffler tape in place of proper gaskets. I happened to mention that in my thanks to Condor, via a PM, and lo and behold, the man sends me gaskets ! From California all the way to Ontario ! Thanks again, Jack. I got them today, and had them installed in less than 20 minutes. I think they look world's better than the original stockers I had as they were a little beat up. Worse, they were full of deteriorated baffle pieces and sloshed like 30 pound maracas. The new MAC's sound incredible - it's actually a motorcycle now ! Not obnoxious, but a definite rumble, and I really, really like it. So, the prerequisite pics : I apologize if the quality isn't the greatest - I used a new software package tonight to resize these, and I think the sharpness degraded quite a bit. The first pic is the bike (obviously) with my other new baby, 2009 Dodge Ram Crew Cab 4x4 with the 390 HP 5.7L Hemi (very fun). The second shows a better pic of the muffler. Please ignore the big hack on the bikini panel on the right side of the bike as I am still burning about that (search threads using "pine cone"). Best of all, we finally have a week here that is 100% sunshine. It's just real cold in the morning (about 42 degrees F this morning), but that sure doesn't stop me. Thanks again, Jack !
  14. I got a pic for you.....
  15. I took a few guys on a ride today and the sky opened up. We made it home just in time before it rained. For the next two hours I had the nicest garage in town. The bikes are warm and dry and the people are out in the rain. The next best thing to riding is eating. I think the boss (wife in the second pic) is wondering if she can get her car in. My money is on................... no. My son woke up and looked in the garage and thought be died and went to haven.
  16. Someone had asked me recently for a pic of my shorty windscreen.. and voila.. http://www.eastcoastphotos.com/venture/img_7509a.jpg http://www.eastcoastphotos.com/venture/img_7510a.jpg http://www.eastcoastphotos.com/venture/img_7512a.jpg

  18. does anyone have a pic or diagram showing where the oil site glass is on an older Goldwing? I am trying to explain it to a co-worker and he has looked and can't find it. Unfortunately he didn't ride in today so I could actually take him out to the lot and show him. I know it's hard to find, so thought a pic would help. Thanks for any help.

  21. On mother's day yesterday we had a little meet and eat. Didn't think too many folks would be able to come since it was mother's day. So we had Painterman (David) his wife Laura, Salty Dawg (Wayne) Krome Rose (Brandy) Riderduke (David) and his daughter Courtney Muffinman and myself. Not a huge turnout but we had fun. This time Courtney and Laura were willing to go on the train with me. Nobody ever wants to play on the train. Anyway here's the few pics I took yesterday. 1st pic is the back of Krome Rose and the front of Painterman & Laura. 2nd pic you can see the front of Krome Rose and Salty and part of muffinman get in the act. 5th pic is Courtney discovering the IPhone and it's apps 7 - 9 Courtney, Laura, Me on the train. Then it's time for ice cream. And before they think we're gonna move in at the place we head out to the bikes for a bit and eventually we leave. Oh for those who don't know what riderduke looks like he's the 2nd ice cream pic. Think I covered everyone. Margaret
  22. Hey guys I just added a new set of running lights to the bike. I wanted to move my pegs forward and down some more. I found these lights which are LED's and figured they would mount perfectly into the air vents and be totally out of the way. The air vents are still functional (if they actually do any good) and the lights are in the way of nothing. You can see in the pic of my bike how much lower I was able to get my peg down as the other side still had the old light in place at the time I took the pic. Let me know what you think. Paul
  23. I have a couple items on ebay for a 1st gen. Thought someone might be interested. The pic of the master cylinder covers do not do them justice. It looks like the pic is showing my finger prints. The item number is 2803372740063 for the covers. I also have a mirror and a pair of riding gloves on there too. Car business is slow, so looking for a little extra:mo money:.
