have had some questions about beer. if you want beer or hard liquor, bring your own. it is a dry county. if you can't bring it do to space we will make a beer run. there will be no shortage of beer. here are the rules on drinking at the hub. you must not walk around with an open beer. you have to drink it out of a cup. randall specified this and we don't want him run out of business. randall said he will also furnish us with beer if we want. all he asks is follow that simple rule. remember, drink the beer out of a cup, when outside of your room on the hub premises. also i'm sure we will have some confusion here and there. no matter how much planning we did. nothing ever works as planned. if anyone needs help or has a problem see me or one of the committee members and we will do our best to help. this is all the members meet and if we all work together it will be a winner. see you all there. bill :clap2:

well i finally bought a new acer aspire one net book. haven't got a clue whether it is good or not. i wanted something for traveling so i could bug you all on the road. i will bring it with me to the hub. i will definately need a computor wizard for help. maybe i can con don into showing me how to use it. i will trade beer for help. it has 2gb ram, and an 11.6" lcd, 250 gb storage. just the right size to carry on the bike. see you at the hub don.

very nice bike. at the top the list of my all time favoites. just don't ruin it and deck it out with the touring crap. it's a hot rod. give it the due respect and keep it that way. exaust is the no.1 release of big power. lots of places to cut weight to. rejetting will really kick the quick responce in the but. they are really lean on the primary circuit. just like the venture. a little tweaking and 165+ mph will be there for you. my 88 pulled so hard the g-force would bring pins and needles to your face. enjoy that scooter. i loved mine. :clap2:

looks like we are going to luck out for the rally. highs all week in the low 80's. lows in the 60's. chance of scattered showers, thats normal. can't ask for any better than that for that time of the year in ar. this is going to be one to remember. see you all there. bill :clap2:

i am going to try to leave out at 9 am but i think i will shoot straight on through to the hub. they will probably have an hour or more wait to get in. and i don't want anyone to see my bike on the trailer. in my defense i want to ride but i can't carry the house on the bike. linda is coming. :rotf:

ive spent so much time working on this rally, i forgot that i have to get ready to go. what a rat race. old last minute me. been working on bikes all week. still don't know which one i'm bringing. since it's a yamaha meet i guess i will bring a yammer. if the pinstiper shows up i want to have my wing done. such a delema. then at the same time i am trying to get ready for vogel. sure is fun. nap time

no reservations on tent camping. they have plenty of room adjacent to the motel and one room in the motel is for tent campers to dress and shower. now how can you go wrong there.

there are 5 rooms available at the hub. if you are staying in harrison you may want to switch to where the action is. bill:2133:

i blew it and got to tickets in a month first one was a parking ticket. and last night i blew a red light. the worst part was i did'nt see it and neither did linda. it was flashing red. i drove through it like it was'nt even there. all kinds of lights flashed and i got my picture took. haven't had a ticket since the early 70's. it's scary to think i did'nt see it. i did wrong so i got to pay the piper.

can't wait to see the trike at the hub. your hauling more weight now and cutting a wider slice of air. that will take it's toll on mileage. see you and b2 mom soon.

well folks i'm starting to think about my meet next year. this was the last year for my meet and eat in st. charles. i think folks are burning out on it, and need something new and different. i know i do. trying to decide on a neat location. i am only going to do one next year. i already offered to don do the 2010 rally. if he would like me to do it i would be honered. if not i am going to put one on. it will either be in montgomery city, mo. or eureka springs. i am leaning toward montgomery city. lots of great riding in that area. all country with a-one facilities. after the hub meet you may tar and feather me. already got the wheels turning for next year.

i don't think i will ever buy another bike thats not watercooled. it's nice to not have to worry about sitting in traffic. it would be very easy for harley to watercool that motor. and get rid of the roller bearing crank and go to a full pressure lube system, with a one piece crank. it would increase the longevity of the motor greatly. they need to realize the hardcore harley folks are getting old and being replaced by the high tech generation. if anyone wants to question me on harley technology i have built a few harley motors in my day and i can tell you about pitted races on the roller bearings. miss aligned cranks from hammering the gears. dragracers weld the cranks to keep them aligned. been there done that. it is a really neat engine. i still like the old design, but you will never have the longevity of the jap bikes. it's time for a motor up date. i'm not knocking harleys just stating some facts.
