  1. and on Top of that, send your Tent up to Don early and it will be standing there waiting for ya .... (now, ain't i a nice Guy feeding fellow Members with Work ....) :D :D
  2. This is a special Yamaha Bearing. Check for Price first. After you regained Consciousness, clean your old Bearing thoroughly, give it little fresh Grease and insert the inner Race. Now check for Bearings Slack. If there's any Slack, bite the Bullit, if not, give it proper greasing and don't forget to put the Spacer inside before your reseat the 6304.
  3. Not a Problem, your welcome, ya know !!!
  4. Well, not wanting to threaten by any Meanings, but i'd cover the over seas Part in my greater Neck of the Woods ...
  5. That black Fitting sounds to me as the Carb Bowl Drain Hose Connector ? There's a smnall Hose coming from inside the Carbset and ending just underneath the two outer Carb Bowls in a metal Bracket ?
  6. I don't know if the Diaphragms (!!!) are the same. Just the Fact that the Carbs are less Diameter on the 2Gen doesn't rule out the Possibility that the Diaphragm are the same even while the Slider may be different. We need a Member measuring and comparing the Parts. You can't get that Information out of the IPC.
  7. I'm no Expert either, only Access Usuage and therefore Basic SQL Knowlegde, but i don't think a Database as the Back End should be doing Jobs a front End should handle. You can calculate whatever you want during Real Time and fill a Field in the current Dataset with the Value you computed.
  8. This would be a nice Tach and comes with a Temp Gauge also .. http://www.kosonorthamerica.com/fCMSBackend/imgRoot/inst/BA551B22.pdf

  10. +1
  11. Folks .... I'd definitely would mount a Tach as first Gauge ! Both Volt and Amp Meter might be a good Idea for other Gauges. You could look up Koso or Acewell Instruments. They both have multiple Function Gauges in their Programs, with two of those you can easliy produce Information Overload. Those are digital Units but i had/have them for Years and i'm very satisfied. http://www.koso.com.tw/ http://www.acewell-meter.com/

  13. You know what the Vmax Riders answered the Engineers when they were asled how much hp they want ?? Too much would be just about right !! :happy34: To answer your Question, no i'm not planning any of such "raising H3ll" Mods at the Moment. I've ridden a Lot of modified and really hot 1Gen Maxxes and i know what we're talking about at 175 hp on the rear Wheel. I think the Motor in stock Condition will last me this and next Year at least. Easy first powerwise Mod will be another Exhaust and a Wide Band-/Powercommander Boxes. I figure this will wake another 15 Horses at the rear Wheel and some more Torque over the stock 123 ftlbs also. That might do it for me for the Moment. :bluesbrother:
  14. I'm sorry Folks, but there's nothing to report at the Moment. The new Max even isn't registrated yet. It just sits in the Garage under the Cover and is waiting for the Weather to cooperate and the Roads beeing celar of Salt. We have had another Pile of Snow last Sunday in the Surroundings and Road are not clear enough for the Bike. I'll be out tomorrow, but only with the old Max. The '09 will get the Plate next Week or so. I haven't received all necessary Parts for first Mods's needed. Handle Bars, Mirrors, front Signals, rear Signals, load independent Signal Relay, Fender Extender gotta go now. Front Light will have to follow soon. Calm down Folks, Break In and Ride Review will come up soon.
  15. Enough Of Course the sharper Cams might have a somewhat negative Effect on the low End Torque. But this sure won't hurt the rideability. With a sharper Engine you shouldn't ride around heavy loaded and asking full Power at 2k RpM anyway. This is bad for the Crank Bearings and asking for much more Stress is a Killer for them. You gotta keep in Mind, a V4 Motor, even with a Balance Shaft never will be absolutely balanced. If you lug the Engine and accelerate at WOT from 2k RpM, you put very heavy Stress on the Main Bearings at a relative slow rotational Speed. This ist like a small Hammer beating on it constantly. If you ask WOT at 3200 RpM, the Crank is much more rotational SPeed and the Stress on the Bearings is reduced by a good Amount.
  16. Condor, this is easy to answer. I you want to your new mounted "whatever" hydraulic Valve to take over control, you have to give them Room to work. If you just drop the new Parts in and do nothing else, the Orifices designed by Yamaha stay in charge and you jsut add up on more Orifices. You have to open a up the stock Orifices(bore a bigger Hole) to allow the new Valves control the hydraulic Flow.
  17. Be assured, I'm not scared at all, at least nothing what these Bikes could offer me as a Challenge.:thumbsup2:
  18. I'm a firm Believer in Brakes have to be adequate to the Power and Speed a Vehicle delivers. You're going fast on a heavy Bike ? That Thing better should have Brakes which are worth called so. Not Decelerators, no Brakes is the right Name !! Only this, nothing less. Not that i'm planning using them under Acceleration, but if it's time to give a Break, the have to brake !!
  19. Maybe this Write-up may answer some of your Questions ? It's not mine, i just made it up for further Reference. The V-Boost Setup won't hurt the low End Torque because it's not operating at low RpM. The Vmax Cams are a tad sharper, but riding both Bikes, i'm sure such a Setup won't dissapoint you.
  20. Not going to blow any Horns here, but you gotta keep in Mind, this 1700cc Motor is designed to operate as a stressed Member of the Frame. If you fit the Motor, which needs the whole Drive Train including Shaft and final Drive, in an Ancestor Bike, Venture or Vmax, you're not overstressing the Frame because you can connect the Motor rigid to the Frame and use it's Stability to enforce the Frame. Of Course, the Brakes also need a major Update before serious riding.
  21. As always ..... Time and Money ....
  22. Nope, you won't get a decent Job done with only a two Column Set
  23. Not only in Italy, here those ATV are Street legal also.
  24. look at that !!! Isn't that a nice 4 Wheeler ??
  25. Now, i didn't check the Instructions out recently, but when i did Years ago, they said you gotta give the Borings a bigger Hole before installing the Gold Valves ?
