I had a "go" the other day with an Acura something or another... we're cruisin down the freeway at about 130 km/h and this guy is on my butt...we're in the left lane, passing all the others so I dropped it to 3rd and off I went... wound her up to the rev limiter in 3rd, hit 4th and buried the speedo needle, then to 5th .... I was able to pull away from the Acura initially but he was able to keep up (at a distance) ... I finally backed off when I figured I was close to the end of my max speed (no idea what that was). Point being, there's not a lot of cruiser/tourer/bagger bikes out there that can keep up with the RSV but cars are a different story ... their top speed can equal or exceed the scoot and many of them have just as much passing power... or a lot more. Not to mention, they are much more stable at high speed than a bike is. ohhhhh but it was FUN!

So, the bike is parked for the winter and the honey-doos are on the back burner and another thread about toilet paper caused me to think about this topic .... so, here's one of mine... .... and mine is definately a guy thing... (but I'm sure the ladies will have some similar stories)... It really "irks" me when I walk into the john and up to the urinal to see that some guy had peed all over the floor. I mean... who are these people that can't keep their pee IN the urinal? Do they know they are getting it all over the floor? ... Do they realize there is guys like me who are repulsed by stepping in some other guy's pee? Do they realize that by splashing it all over the floor they might also have soaked their shoes and/or maybe even their pant legs? What are they doing that causes them to totally miss the urinal....are they thrashing it side-to-side?? ... just who are these people anyway?? Just once I'd like to catch one of them in the act!! LOL Now that's just one of my "pet peeves" .... let's hear yours! (this should be interesting...) LOL

sorry to hear you had to sell off your baby for a different one but... another day will come. Let us know when you've posted the safety chrome. Always keep in mind that this site is more about the people rather than the bikes they ride or not ride. (at least it seems that way to me) -
Are those my only choices???

I read on http://www.motorcycle.com/shoot-outs/honda-valkyrie-interstate-v-yamaha-venture-15592.html Max horsepower = 79.2 hp @ 6250 rpm. Max torque = 76.7 lbs/ft @ 3850 rpm Apparently that's at the rear wheel.

This has already been thoroughly discussed in another thread (believe it or not) and I think it was around this time last year so it appears that on the onset of winter, certain folk start thinking about longer hours on the toilet (or something like that) As for the CT money, I have been saving that stuff for probably 15 years ... I will NEVER have to worry about which hand to use....

Since we're on the subject of toilet paper .... do you use your right hand or your left hand??? | | | | | | | ... oh really??? most people use toilet paper (not their hand) !! :rasberry:

I take a wild guess. Normal idle is what... 6-700? So I just crank it up some. I think the idea is that you need a bit higher rpm to get a decent vacuum reading and also to prevent stalling whilst you're mucking with the sync. (works for me) but then again, maybe I should use a tach.

I apply a thin film of oil and tighten by hand ... but to remove I just use a channel-lock pliers to break the seal (so to speak). For those who haven't read an older post about my first oil change on the RSV, let me provide you with an embarassing and funny experience .... All my prev bikes had the old style filters (not spin-ons) so, my first oil change, I could not break loose the filter so I drilled a big hole thru it and stuck a long bar thru the hole and broke it loose that way. Installed the new filter and oil and went about doing a few other things. Eventually got around to dumping the oil drain pan .... only to discover some fairly major metal filings in the bottom of the pan. Now, this bike was fairly new when I got it... only 1300 km's on it and I'm changing the oil at about 3000. I FREAKED!! Holy CRAP!!! What the H&LL!! Did I get shafted I'm thinking?? ... (I'd forgotten about drilling the hole in the filter) ... so here I am in the shop all alone just sweating bullets about all these filings.... and then I remembered.... of course!! From drilling the hole!! Dang, what a relief I felt ... and then I looked around to see if anyone noticed my stupidity ... of course not... I was alone... and then I laffed at myself .... LMAO!- 17 replies

What type terminal strip should I use
SilvrT replied to Midrsv's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
No photo handy but I've used very similar to the photo inside the fairing as a positive wiring block. With these you can get little "jumpers" so that all are live. I run one main live feed from a fused block near the battery to this item inside the fairing. It's all connected so that only has power when key is on. From this block I can then connect other things that require power such as my aux lights, Sirius radio, etc, etc. Of course, things like the lights are switched and powered via a relay. Another one could be used for grounding. -

Regardless of a person's religious beliefs or non-beliefs, good information is good information. In this world of diminishing supply of blood, there has to be an alternative and perhaps a complete replacement.

Unless I'm reading this wrong, these must be the PRIMO units, unlike any others that can be had for $50-$100. http://buysell.com/Vancouver-BC/HARLEY-DAVIDSON-EXHAUST-PIPES/19-2988838/d/50-1-a-pt-sf-prx-ccl--z2baz1a1a1az1qz6y-18757D4F/?gclid=4840 Save almost $600 and buy the set for $500...

Novibe Grips?
SilvrT replied to nbowersock's topic in Royal Star and Royal Star Tour Deluxe Tech Talk
Having that "adapter" to retain the end weights is something that should come with the Kury grips. I had to grind mine out in order to get those end weights back on.- 9 replies
