I think I got this figured out, took me awhile but its all starting to add up now. Fool keeps telling me that he is not the one to blame for that cold air out of Canada that its those ones that keep leaving the door open up there but he wont give out any names. Now lets see they open the door Fool gets busy pushing buttons and pulling levers, and then there is this half naked guy out there selling these Snolettes by the pickup load. Now if this is the case these are not real Snolettes they are man made and not from the factory that does make these Snolettes. I think that there needs to be a end of this scam and as a form of punishment all the money that these scamers have made needs to be put into a icecream fund. This has to be done soon because once it warms up and the Snolettes melt and they will have gotten away with this.

might have to take a little time off here for a while
OrlinEngh replied to oldgoat's topic in Watering Hole
Sure hope that things turn around for you, Need to get after those guys in Canada that keep leaving some door open and letting all of that cold air come down this way, And Fool to put that snow making thing away and bring on spring so that heating bill will be done with for awhile. Hopefully you wont have to take much time off from here or make to many trips to the Library. Orlin -
So its true that darn thing does suck that cold air down here. Its time for you to go and work on that Venture of yours and put the magical machine away.

87 Venture Royale front wobble
OrlinEngh replied to Gearhead's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
I had a 84 and a 92 that did the same thing and both were the steering head bearings were to tight. -
The clicking you hear maybe the fule pump, thats normal when you first turn the key on or when you put the kill switch to run, I had to replace my battery last summer left on a ride and when we stopped it wouldnt crank over. Head light still worked just not enough power to crank the engine. Check your battery connections to could be loose have had that happen before.

Good that Eileen worries about you and did the right thing by calling you never know. Hope all turns out for the best. Orlin

Need suggestions. What bike should i get next.
OrlinEngh replied to Chaharly's topic in Watering Hole
I would think about what kind of riding you do and then look for a bike to match, For me I have a 1st and 2nd Gen, the 1st Gen is for me when I feel like going out and have some fun on our nice twisty hilly roads around here. The 2nd Gen is for Sharon and me when we just want to go out and cruze around the country side and relax. Good luck in your search -
It a good day when you get to walk away from a crash, can replace parts or the bike. Have read how much work and time you have put into it to have this happen. Hope you are able to fix it back up again. Orlin

Nope aint skeerd of getting thumped on like you said it not hard to find me if thats what you are looking to do I am in the phone book and my adderess is public. And I dont think that someone is going to go to the Venture site to find me to do me harm. My door is allways open because thats the way I was brought up to be, to many good people out there to close the gate and lock the door.

Have mine all done, looks like it should work great and easy to find.

I had Sharon put the Venture site on my smart phone and its very easy to use. We have a open door policy here its never locked day or night if you need a place to put up a tent just pick a spot other than in the horse pasture, and there are a couple of campers to choose from we will find a place for ya and a place to put the bike in. I have noticed something, Evereytime Jeff decideds to treat someone with some snow:snow: with that snow maker it sucks that cold northern air down here into Wisconsin, It sure causes problems, no getting the bike out for a January ride because the tires are froze to the concrete:bang head:, Cabin fever and alot of grumpy people and my wood pile goes down way to fast. There must be some nice person:2133: that lives down south that could make a nice wind maker and blow some of that nice southern air up this way:D, or we will be forced to go and turn that snow maker of Jeffs to the North and make all of the snow go to and hope it sucks some of that warm air up this way. And if that doesnt work well sorry Jeff for all of your hard work but time to find something else to tinker with Jeff. Orlin

This is the first year in 5 years that I will get to spend the afternoon and evening at home, All I had to do this morning was take a ride in the truck and sand the hills and then home for the rest of the day. Orlin -

Cowpuc If he ends up like the rest of the crew here there are no worries. When they hear a Venture coming down the road and slow down for the driveway they are ready to greet the company with tails wagging. Orlin
