We will be opening the 1st weekend in May for camping, There will be 2 camping areas one area down by the creek and the other up by the buildings, It is rustic there will be clean porta poities and a place to shower. We are located 6 miles East of Viroqua down in a nice valley, We are in the middle of some of the best riding roads you can find anywhere. Orlin and Sharon

We went from the 1st Gen to 2nd Gen last summer and got in some good riding time on the 2nd Gen. Sharon says she likes the 2nd Gen better than the 1st after she got used to the diffrence, She says she is more comfortable has more room and can see more, but she still likes the looks of the 1st Gen better says it has a classy look that she likes. As for me with a passenger on I do like the 2nd Gen over the 1st Gen seems better balanced at a stop light or stop sighn and a much smoother going down the road the second Gen just seems more planted on the road. I do miss having a 1st Gen for zipping around on the twistie hill roads around here so I am sure that there is going to be another 1st Gen in the shed before to long. Orlin

I did some soda blasting last winter and it works great for removing paint and doesnt heat up what you are blasting and doesnt pit plastic either, They make diffrent types soda to use they do have some with a sharper grit but even that seemed to work fine also and it works great for romoving grease and oil. You do have to wash and clean your parts after because it leaves a bit of a film and the clean up is easy. There are some good videos on utube to check out for soda blasting. Orlin

I agree with a saftey course and something other than a crotch rocket for the first bike. Get a nice bike to learn on and stay away for that need for speed feel of the crotch rocket untill he has miles under his belt. Orlin

20 below here for tonight and wind chills in the 30 below mark, but its looking better towards midweek up towards the 30's sure will be wellcomed. The towns around here are having everyone keep water runing so the mains and sewer lines wont freeze up. I have had to fix one water line so far been lucky. Orlin

Jeff I havent had a weekend off since the begining of December, Getting real tired of sliding aound in my 40,000 pound plow truck on this ice. Sure would like to see some sun and 30's we had better hope for a slow melt with over 6feet of frost in the ground, if it warms up fast now with all of this snow there is going to be alot of water heading south in a hurry. Maybe if we all go and buy a new snow shovel it will quit. Orlin

Dan must be making the move to start parting with some of those 1st gens and he will be telling us who the lucky winner is on Monday, he said it would be a 1st for someone and we know those 1st gens last a long time. Wonder if the winner gets to pick his or her prize 1st gen, I havent had a Brown one yet. Orlin

Sounds like you may still need to bleed it out somemore, how is the fluid level maybe you have to much, can make the lever pull hard. Orlin

I didnt have to loosen the engine, sounds like you have plenty of parts to get it back up and on the road again, enjoy they are alot of fun to ride. Orlin

You can get the rear head off while still in the bike, I have done it on a 84 and a 87 it is alittle tight to get to a couple of the bolts but not to bad. Orlin

Get ahold of 920shrek1 [Ken] he used the controls off of a 2nd gen worked very nice. Maybe he will let you know just what parts you may need. Orlin
