This is what my wife tells me all of the time, But this morning has been one that has me at a loss of words. To start this out my wife wrecked her car a few weeks ago and we are having a tuff time getting the Insunce to pay for the car, So I had decided to trade or sell my 2 1984 Ventures to get her another car. I put them on Craigs list and yes I know I could have put them on the site first I just hadnt got to that yet. Okay so here we go, Yesterday a friend calls me up and he is looking for a pistol I get on the computer last night and no luck. This morning Sharon says you have a email about the bikes and you should look at it so I take a look. And here is this guy wanting to trade me a couple of guns for the bikes one of witch is just what my fiend is looking for. And reading more of his email I read that he lost his daughter to cancer and that due to all of the medical bills that he was wanting to know if we can do a trade. This is where the morning and things happen for a reason all hit me. I lost one of my daughters 6 years ago to a traffic accident and It made me decide that it was time to enjoy my life more and all that I have in my life so I went and got me one of the Venrtures that I am parting with that has helped me so many days just go and clear my head and now here is another person in the same place as me just a few years ago. So I set down and send him a email that we need to get together and chat and see what kind of a deal we can work out, And after sending off the email I do search of his name and here he is the first one there and its a face book page I click on it and the next thing that I know it says that he accepted my friend ship request I dont remember doing that. But I must have not sure. So I gather my wits and go and talk with Sharon and tell her what all has happend so far and she just looks at me and gives me that smile. And I told her that part of the deal will be he has to join the Venture Rider because we have got to meet some great people and made some great new friends. And that maybe just what this guy needs at this time of his life also. Orlin

My Mom and Dad passed away 17 years ago less than a year apart was a hard time seeing them both go, But I allways remember the good times. And like it was said your Dad gets to go and be with your Mom now. You are in our thoughts and prayers. Orlin

I wouldnt mind the snow, We are in a flood watch untill Thurday evening but it sounds like they are going to put it up to a flood warning, Thursday the temp is going to drop so we are going to go from Rain to freezing rain to snow, I can hear the creek thats 300 yards away now and its pouring rain, what snow we had left is going quick. So in the morning its put the chains back on the truck and on the grader and get ready to push the mud and snow off of the roads. Orlin

Just a small bruise I would say you started the year out on a good note. Can fix the bike. My 84 Venture will run when in gear with the side stand down but once you try and go it will kill as soon as you let out the clutch. Orlin

I tore the bike down today and the bearings are not in good shape dryed out and stiff so its new bearings for the front, And yes it can be hard to find a good staight section of road around here:). Thats why I want it to handle alot better than it does those twisty turns are alot of fun. Orlin

I have a 1992 Venture that the best I can explain is it wont hold a straight line down the road. It also feels like it has a washy or the feeling of low tires and it does this on curves also but it is most noticable on the straight aways. I checked the rear of the bike and can not find any play in bearings or bushings has a new rear tire and front tire. I also checked to see if there is play in the front and I cant find any. Would wore bearings in the triple tree cause this? It does turn a little stiff or could they just be to tight and dryed out? Orlin

Bring the bikes, A side dish if would be good other than that cant think of anything. Orlin

Hello Due to not doing as well this past hunting season I will have to make something diffrent for our evening meal. Here is what I have came up with. Batter fried fish caught by Oscar and me, Burgers and Brats and some localy raised pork. Its still early for some to know if you can make it or not but would like to have a idea of how many are coming. Its on the calendar you can let me know on there. Thanks Orlin

sorry about the 3x5 ment to say the small flags not sure why I put 3x5. looking for the ones to mount to the trunk rack or the side of the trunk. Orlin

I am wanting to get a couple of flag holders, wanted to see what others have got. And where they got them. Orlin

I agree the price is to high, It looks like it has spent alot of time setting outside could be alot of work, when you can go buy one for 2,000 and ride it home. Orlin

What color are you looking for, I have the two that go on the fairing but not the rear one, and I think that these came off of a Red 84. Orlin

you could have a float that is sticking, or a bad spark plug when is the last time you put in new plugs. take the plugs out and see if you have one thats runing rich should be black colored and maybe wet with gas. Orlin

For around 10.00 at Wallmart they have drink holders in the bike area they work great and look good also. They mount to the handle bar. and there should be a place for a lighter on the side where the radio goes just take the plug out and put in the lighter. Orlin

Must be nice Im setting here waiting to get called into work,we are getting freezing rain then turning to snow for Sunday 5 to 9 inches. No riding here for awhile in Wisconsin. Orlin

If you unpluged the Hazard switch your turn signals wont work. Orlin
