  9. Yes that be's them.... They drove me nutty for the longest trying to remember where they came from when I tore my 01 down for painting, until the other thread. From what I have read here the early models of the 2nd Gens did not have them, and was a problem. My 01 had them and I think that is the year that they were included.

  12. I had the same one that was broken off, but still in the grommet when I bought my 01. I used ABS Cement (the black stuff) and it worked very well. I have used the ABS glue on many bike parts,,,,, I used something like the Plastex on a front fender extender on the Honda, and that stuff is tough. when it is set it is there...
  13. Good cause those were the only two pieces with the rubber gasket that I just couldn't remember where went, and it has been buggin me for months,,,,, Looked under the pad, and I had used large body washers, but have put them in their proper place now,,, Changing out the trunk is fairly easy. Taking it down to the very last little piece is where the fun comes in,,,,:)

  17. Yes it will, but like mentioned finding a Mic is a trick some times. J&M use to have them and I see them show up now and then on an GL1800 classified board. They aren't cheap either. I seem to remember a number of like $175 +-
  18. I just put Velcro on mine while I was rebuilding it,,,,,,,,
  19. I have one on the Honda, direct to the battery, and two on the Venture. I use it for just that, and works very well. No Problems. I used 12ga wire to the battery on both sides + & - with a 30 amp fuse. I carry a breathing machine for the wife, and of course an air pump. I also use the one on the Honda to make coffee when camping ( but have to start it up about half way through perking ) Just used a regular Cig Liter socket, and plug on tender. I put a disconnect on the tender to change out the ends when needed.
  20. What kind of mileage did you get on this trip? We were out all day Sunday, and it was great... Took the Honda out this time it has been neglected a lot.
  21. Sounds like surface charge on the battery to me too. Load test it.
