Kingston Tennesse, just south of Knoxville. Went to AAA today. Got the bypass info. Reports are anywhere from a 1/2 hour to 3 hour delay. Play it by ear going down.

Well, myself and 4 others are going to do the Saddle Sore 1000 this weekend. Leave out of Saline Michigan Saturday morning, head to Kingston Pike Tenn. for some dinner and head back. It will be about 1035 miles according to Google maps. Gonna be a looooooong day.

What you ride does not matter. It's the fact that you ride and you like what your riding be it a Harley, Beemer, Honda, whatever.

Dulop 404
rickardracing replied to hunter 1500's topic in Royal Star and Royal Star Tour Deluxe Tech Talk
404's are crap tires. If I am going to go through the effort of replacing the bcak tire, free or not, I would spend the mone and put the E3's on. Why replace crap with crap? Jusy my .02 -
That rider never stood a chance. With traffic in the center turn lane , there is no way your going to see that coming. Hopefully they survived with minimal injuries and they sue the sob for everything they have. The driver was probably texting or on their cell phone yacking away. Purelly speculation. But probably reality.

$20k would be about right for a life flight depending on the distance. Gotta charge the extra money to cover the hospital costs of all the poeple that turned themselves into turnips when their head hit the pavement not wearing a helmet. It IS their right to do so and our responsibility to pick up the tab. As far as I am concerned and this will be the last time I post on the subject. You have the right to wear or not wear a helmet. I get that and agree with it. But....insurance companies should send out a form asking whether or not you ride with a helmet. If not, you pay a higher premium. Your medical insurance company should do the same. Also there should be a limit on payment for medical treatment if you get into an accident without your brain bucket. Once you hit that limit, sorry Charley, you released from the hospital and left on your own. You did it to yourself, you now pay yourself. Not me, not any other taxpayer or other patients through higher charges. It's called action, reaction. Kind of like sticking your hand in fire. Guess what jackass, you get burned. Again, I have no issue with someone riding without a helmet. Do as you wish. Just do not expect everyone else to pick up the tab. That's my opinion, I am done on the subject and will no longer check this thread. Hopefully it gets deleted or locked. This thread was started simply to let poeple know that the law had been changed. But, as usual, it turned into a pi$$ing match with petty bickering.

Could eliminate the wobble by taking the tire that is supposed to be on a car rim and replace it with an actual tire for say......a motorcycle.

Nice crotch rocket.

I would not even hesitate. The only thing then I would have to come back to Michigan.

Exhaust removal for inspection
rickardracing replied to Mr.G's topic in Royal Star and Royal Star Tour Deluxe Tech Talk
I think you may find that the increased popping is from lack of back pressure in the mufflers. I could be wrong, but just do a search here and this is what you may find out. -
I also joined the PGR. Registered with both the National and Michigan Chapters.

Here are some pics. The saddle bag I painted for my wifes bike. The other pics are of my trailer ( blue and black) like your bike and the black one is Don's that I painted at the same time. I used PPG's Shopline paint. You will need a pint of the Blue, pint of black, quart of clear, hardener (one can should do that), a gallon of reducer. Pinstripe is a bit of an issue. I used 3M's Ultimate Charcoal, but it is alot brighter than the bike. Regular Charcoal is probably more like the right shade. It's not that noticable on the trailer 3 feet behind the bike, but it would be noticable on the bike. You could not use tape and have JBird mix something up at Maintainance day though. I still have the paint codes for the paint. Shopline is good stuff and ALOT cheaper than House Of Colors. Just let me know. Randy

Joe, depending on when you need it, I could do it. I painted my trailer and Don's last year. They came out pretty sweet. I can send you pics later. Randy

It's nice to see a young person with so much ambission. Just think what she can accomplish when she is older. Too many teens now days want and expect everything to be handed to them.

So what IS the appropiate number of toilet pieces?

That's funny. The Harley was on a trailer. Go figure.

Loud pipes result in terrorism charge????
rickardracing replied to slick97spirit's topic in Watering Hole
On top of that how many time have you gone riding with someone with loud pipes and NO ONE wants to ride behind the guy????? But again that's personal choice even if the logic isn't sound. But I like it in the rear. -
Because when someone hits you in your convertable, your probably not going to get knocked to the ground and slide accross the pavement whereas if you get hit on your bike and your not wearing a helmet, your going to be seriously injured if not killed. Now this is solely my opinion. You have the right to not wear a brain bucket AND I have the right as a tax payer NOT to have to support an individual that turned themselves into a turnip and has to be fed through a tube for the rest of their life by being a burden to the state and tax payers or through higher medical and auto/motorcycle insurance for me. I seen the results of a 50/55 mph motorcycle accident. My wife. Had she not been wearing a helmet, she would be dead. Period. All I can say is that all the poeple that do not wear a helmet, do me a favor. Take out a small cheap life insurance policy out on yourself and make me the beneficiary.

I am glad to see we have some mighty smart poeple on this site. I plan on wearing mine.

Jay, try riding on 696 during rush hour. Now that's an experiance.
