Sorry Joe, Mary and I both work and by the time we get out, we have other errands to run. Have a safe trip out west and we will see you when we see you. Gonna miss meeting up with you after the Midnight ride this year. Take it easy my friend.

I also think if they kept the bike entirely "made in the USA", and I mean every piece on it, they could have bragging rights to the ONLY real American made bike and that would give them another edge over HD.. If nothing else, we the consumer are getting another choice in biking,, that alone is exciting in my book.. Cant ever have to many options in my book. I too wish them the best!! If it is entirely made in the USA, it won't be 20K. The only way to keep the cost down is to use foreign parts.

I am not a wannbe anything. I think that they are beautiful machines and if I had the cash, I would buy one. One of the reasons they are expensive is that they are limited production. But 37k!!!!!

Getting custom routes into Garmin nuvi 765T?
rickardracing replied to a1bummer's topic in Watering Hole
Google maps. There is an option to send your route to a device. Just go through the prompts. You will have to plug it into your computer to do this. -
I priced out a Chief Vintage 2 years ago. $37k. That's ALOT of coin.

You and me both brother. We managed not to have any until Christmas eve. Now we have obout 8 inches on the ground. If I could just get my wife to cut the apron strings, we would be heading someplace warm.

Who says you can't ride in the snow!

I like how most of them are on crotch rockets. I really like the one of the squid on the crotch rocket doing a wheelie on the freeway wearing a t-shirt, shorts and tennis shoes. Destroyed the bike and major road rash. Serves him right.

You said that once you got past 120k miles you had most of the kinks worked out? I my humble opinion, when you purchase a new vehicle, the ONLY thing you should have to do is replace the tires and maybe one set of brakes. For the price of cars/trucks, there had better be quality. We are getting ready to turn 100k miles on our 4Runner. The only thing I have needed to do is replace the tires. That's it. I am getting ready to do a brake job soon. The Nissan was the same way, no issues the first 100k miles. The two major repairs I did on that at 125k and 157k were the result of my own stupidity. The Nissan now has 223,000 mile on it. When you buy a car or a truck, you should be able to rely on it. No issues while making payments. Atleast in my eyes is how I see it. So if Ford, GM and Chrysler cannot live up to it, and they never have on any of the new ones I purchased, I moved onto the foreign market and have been VERY satisfied to the point that I will not even consider anything else.

I have had my fair share of used vehicles. I would NEVER buy a GM product new or used ever again. Those are the biggest POS of the domestic three. One of the main problems I think is plaguing the used car market today is the fact that ALOT of poeple lease. Who really takes care of a lease vehicle? They drive them, abuse them, then turn them in and get another. Then that one goes on the used car lot. This more than likeley was a lease at one time and was put on the lot, sold and turned in again as a trade on a new one. But whatever the case maybe, no GM products for me.

I kind of wish I would have gotten some heated gear and kept the insurance on the scoot. It's been 30 plus degrees here in Michigan. I could still be riding to work. But, once I dropped the insurance down to storage, I cannot bring it back up for 30 days which puts me into New Years. I know as soon as I do, the snow will fly!

Yes they did. Drove up the prices of automobiles because of exorbanant wages and legacy costs. Thank you UAW. Company wants a certain profit margin, so they outsource overseas causing the toolshops here to go out of business. I know because I am a non-union worker who sees what work has been shipped out. I worked in a prototype mold shop. We built a ton of prototype molds for the interiors for Ford vehicles. Ford, Gm, Chrysler do not build their own interiors. That is left up to Johnson Controls, Visteon and such. We tried to bid on the production tools. We were told that they were being built in China. Another company I worked for is NYX. They do mostly the plastic for GM interiors. Owned by the dot indians. The plants are manned by dot indians in Livonia, not Americans. Parts are then put into "American made" cars. Poeple really grind my nerves with this unemployed? Keep buying foriegn mentality. There is NO AMERICAN MADE CARS ANYMORE! Just American assembled. Chevy Aveo, that POS was built in Korea with 73% Korean parts, and 1% American parts with the rest being from other countries. GM brought that car here and sold it to all the lemmings as an AMERICAN MADE car. NOT!!! Ford Fusion, built in Mexico. Your money that you pay for these vehicles may go to American companies, but those same companies are investing in foreign markets. That money you paid for that vehicle is paying foreign wages who in turn, put their paychecks into their foreign economy. Not ours. I have owned new For, GM and Chrysler products. But my last 2 vehicles are a Nissan Xterra and a Toyota 4Runner. Both have blown the other companies away in fit, finish and overall quality. Our next one is going to be a Toyota Rav4. Honda....builds ALOT of cars here in the states. When you buy one of those, that money may go to a foreign company, but they are investing in our country and that money is going to pay the wages of AMERICAN workers who in turn spend that money in their local economy. If you choose to support the UAW, more power to you. But myself, I am not going to pay an extra 3k for a vehicle just to support the retirees, their bennies or a corrupt union. I am now done with my rant, so let the flaming begin!!
