  1. Yep, twice. Again, today.
  2. I posted this a few days ago on the Tech Forum and appreciate the responses from the few that tried to help out but no solutions has been found yet, so now I'm putting it out here for all to see. Maybe you have had this problem before and already know the answer, we'll see. Ok, here's the problem. When I turn up the volume to about 15 on the radio control, that's about as high as I need to go without being too loud in my headsets. At the same time my wife has to turn hers( the rear control) to max to be able to hear at all when we are out riding. I thought it might be in the helmet but it does this with different helmets. I've even taken one helmet and hooked it up to the front, adjusted the volume to where it almost too loud for me, unhooked it and plugged it in to the rear, and still have to turn it to max to be able to hear anything. This is on a 09 RSV. I thought it might be in the connections in the fairing, so I took them all apart, inspected , cleaned, put on some dielectric grease, but the problem remains. Really don't want to take it back to the stealer, I've been burned too many times! I guess I need also to mention, it's not got anything to do with the brand of headsets since I've tried IMC, Edsets, and some really cheap brands. The result is always the same. Anyone else had this problem???? Is this a common problem? I do have Mic-Mutes installed but I had this problem even before they were installed. One possible solution was to use the fader control for front to rear volume adjustment , but to my knowledge this only works with the onboard speakers. Once you plug in the headsets, the option goes away on the control module. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
  3. Fader doen't work through headset. Only through onboard speakers. I found this out last night.

  5. I wish someone could come up with some kinda adapter. I'd buy one in a minute! I really don't want to buy a GW just for that!!!!!!:crying::crying::crying:
  6. Maybe Yamaha didn't get the tire right, but got the size of the tire right to begin with!!!

    Who owns it?

Thanks Rick, I really like it!!!
  8. I saw this trailer at Don's MD. Does anyone know who owns it and who makes this trailer??
  9. Sorry it took so long to get these posted but here are some more pics of MD. http://s1220.photobucket.com/albums/dd441/jon57es/
  10. I got this in an email today. Don't know much about them. Might be worth checking into. http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com/1/4/71/28863/ITEM/MotoCentric-Mototrek-7-Tank-Bag.aspx?SiteID=em_06_09_Street_Motocentric_Tank-Bag&WT.mc_ID=36075&WT.i_e_dcsvid=1209734151
  11. Jennie and I finally got home today from MD after taking a little side trip through Penn. and Maryland. Our thanks to Don and Eileen for another great time and putting up with this crazy bunch yet again. You two are the greatest!!! Even though Don has the shirt for it, he's really not an ASS!! On the contrary, he is one of the best people I've ever met. Jennie said she had the time of her life visiting and meeting this group of people that I've come to know as "Family". We took a good many pics which I'll try to get posted as soon as I can. Right now I just want to go to bed. Tomorrow's a work day!!!
  12. Just bypass it and let the warranty replace it. It'll be fine. Mine started acting up intermittently so I bypassed it and rode it to the dealer for replacement. Just keep at least a gallon or 2 of fuel in it all the time. This is just to assure you have a little head pressure on the flow of the fuel. Dealer checked mine out too and said there was nothing wrong with it but replaced it since he already had it out. Like I said, it was doing it every now and then so that's why I bypassed it and rode the 100 miles to the dealer without a problem. You may want to talk with the dealer and see if you can get him to order one ahead of time so you don't have to leave the bike there. This is what I did. Hope you get it worked out!! BTW, a new one costs a little over 300 dollars according to the bill that they charged for the pump. Ouch!!!!!
  13. Ordered a set yesterday. Hope to have them installed before the trip up there.
  14. Rode 917 miles last year in about 15 hours . Had a ball. Plan to do it again this year, but will probably break it down to a 2 day ride. This year I'll have my photographer(wife) on the back seat with me. She bought a new camera and wants lots of pics!!!!!
  15. Even if you survive a life of riding like this, the local LEO would love to help you donate to their cause. I've rode the Dragon many times and this isn't a good idea no matter what kind of bike you ride.
  16. Hmmmmmm, any other suggestions????
  17. Has anyone got any idea as to how I can get all the hardcoating off of my windshield? I cut it down a few months back and did so by tapeing it up with masking tape. When I got ready to peel the tape off, the hardcoating came with the tape(mostly) but there is still some stuck on that I've tried to retape and and pull off but it just will not turn loose. Any suggestions???
  18. It is what it is. It's a SD card reader basically. No software comes with it. You just load your sd card and put it in the "cassette". Then put the "cassette" in your cassette player on the bike.
  19. On an oil line it's called a banjo bolt.
  20. Yep, it does look funky! I like yours better. Did you make that or purchase it somewhere??
  21. Well I tried out the player yesterday and was somewhat disappointed. It worked fine while at a standstill, but while riding down the road the remote didn't want to work. As long as the player is loaded with just the songs you like it's OK, but if you want to skip a song, it ain't gonna happen. To answer a few questions though, 1) the SD card doesn't come with it, 2) the SD card doesn't stick out of the player so the player will go all the way into the deck, 3) the power cable can't be hooked up while it's in the tape deck, so charging it on the fly won't work, don't know about hardwiring yet. It works fine as a stand alone mp3 player to carry in your pocket. Haven't tried it in a vehicle, I don't think mine works after all these years. Oh, and one other thing, you have to turn on the "cassette" before putting it into the tape deck. And you have to turn it off when you leave the bike for a time, otherwise the battery will run down. I don't know how long the battery will last, but until you actually turn off the "cassette" it's still on, even though the bike may be turned off. As far as the remote is concerned, I tried many times to use it while going down the road, even putting it right up next to the open door of the tape player and I never could get the thing to skip a song. BTW, the door of the tape deck has to be open for the cassette to work when stopped, it must use some type of IR to function. Maybe this is why I never could get it to work while moving. Anyway, that's my assessment so far. Hope some of you have better luck with yours!!!!
  22. Whatever you use, don't trust any kind of suction cup. It will fail! The type you originally posted will work just fine. The pics below is what I use when I use the GPS. Most of the time I don't use it unless I'm riding in unfamiliar territory. I placed mine up as high as I could so that I don't have to look down to see the display and it doen't block the instrument panel. Good luck!!
  23. Each spring and summer there are a good many poker runs, charity rides, friendships rides here in middle Ga to raise money for a worthy cause. Most of them are escorted by sheriff departments. Keeps the competition to a minimum and usually don't involve a lot of mishaps.
  24. Me too!!!
