  1. Try www.motorcyclelarry.com, he's got peg lowering kits for FJR's and Honda ST's, maybe something could be adapted? Ron
  2. Ya that is dumb, maybe this bike will motivate Yamaha to do something with that sweet new V-Max engine. Ron
  3. I'd buy this over a street glide just for the engine. I bet this thing being 70lbs lighter than a wing will run sub 12 1/4 miles, and do it all day. Those flat sixes will run 200,000 miles without breathing hard. To me it doesn't look anything like a street glide, more like a Victory.
  4. Link works fine when i click on it. I also attached the video.
  5. Here's aVideo. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V0gmqrPI5H4]2013 Honda Goldwing F6B - YouTube[/ame]
  6. http://www.motorcyclistonline.com/firstrides/122_1302_2013_honda_gold_wing_f6b_first_look/ This new wing is gorgeous!
  7. Jerome is a very cool little place, it's up very high so you might need those snow tires there. We rode down there last June, was like a 103F. Up in Jerome, it was at least 10 degrees cooler. Another spot to see if you an Eagles fan is Winslow, AZ, about 70 miles east of Flagstaff. Ron
  8. Oops! Oh well, my message is still the same. Ron
  9. Hey Ponch, nice to see you posting here again. I sure have enjoyed the tach and gauge package that you built for me to replace my cassette with. Take care, Ron
  10. I use Sports Plaza as well, they're prices are pretty good. Ron
  11. Great write, very objective. I've ridden a few at demo days, and my experience mirrors your comments. Thanks man! Cheers, Ron:)
  12. So bottom line, would you buy one? Ron
  13. I've had a set of 05 Roadking pipes, undrilled or molested, for 40,000 KMs now. They've burnt in to be a little than louder than they were originally, I wouldn't want them any louder than they are now, they sound great! Ron
  14. http://www.ridermagazine.com/top-stories/2013-triumph-trophy-se-first-look.htm If I were buying a bike today, this one hits most of the checkmarks on my wish list. Ron:322:
  15. Here's a picture of the hitch, it's a tractor universal joint welded to the coupler as shown in the plans. Ron
  16. The box is a Thule sidekick 682, it about 55' X 24" X 16". It's the only trailer I've found that will carry my golf clubs. LOL
  17. Thanks guys, yes it has a rubber torsion suspension with the swing arm lengthened 4 inches. The suspension is available through Northern Tool. Dave the designer has been very generous sharing his detailed plans with everyone on the Delphi motorcycle trailer towing site. I've attached a copy below. For anyone that doesn't want build one themselves, there's one for sale on www.motocampers.com. Ron
  18. I have a homebuilt single wheel trailer commonly know as a "scuba dave " trailer named after the fellow that designed it. I recently towed to the Black Hills and back from here in British Columbia, approximately 6000 km. It towed flawlessly on the Interstates at up to 160 KPH, in crosswinds and large truck traffic. You can ride the twisties as normal, you swerve to miss something, so does it. I also didn't really notice my fuel economy drop much as it's very low and aerodynamic. Overall, I couldn't be happier. Ron:cool10:
  19. +1 on www.canadasmotorcycle.ca
  20. +1 on www.canadasmotorcycle.ca Ron
  21. Thanks for the responses guys, that's just what I was looking for. Ron
  22. Thanks for going and measuring it, I have an opportunity to pick up a centerstand for 125.00 + shipping, but didn't want to buy it if it wouldn't work with the links installed. 1.5 inches should be enough. Thanks again. Ron
  23. Could you tell me how high the rear tire is off the ground when it is on the centerstand? Ron
  24. The leveling links raise the rear of the bike approx. 1" reducing the rake and trail improving the handling substantially. Aside from maintenance and cleaning issues, I'd like a centerstand as I have a monowheel trailer that would be more easily connected and disconnected if the bike was perfectly upright. Ron
  25. I've had a Rivco Centerstand before on a 2000 Valkyrie Interstate and had no issues getting it on the stand. I'm just worried that with the extra height created by the leveling links that the stand will not lift the bike high enough to get the rear wheel off the ground, rendering it kind of useless. Ron
