  1. E J. I name all my vehichles.
  2. Started on dirt bikes, however, first street bike was a Kawasaki 440 LTD. Nice bike but underpowered for what it was. Can't beleive anyone got a Yammy 1100 special for their first! WOW them things are rockets, can't imagine they are still alive!!
  3. I run 0 in the front and just enough in the back to keep us from bottoming out. Thats usually around 20lbs. If I feel us bottom out at any point I will add a couple lbs at the next stop. Your spot will vary but at our weight usually 20 lbs takes care of it.
  4. I just flat don't like the looks of a wing. Like was said, it's just personal choice. The wings to me don't look like a bike, too much plastic, they look like a wrapped sausage.
  5. Just get you a camelbak insulated bottle holder for $10 and mount it on the front saddlebag protectors. You can get em to match the color of your bike, (black in my case) and a Thermos bottle from Target for $20 and you got a real nice holder, easily accessable, out of the way and those thermos bottles keep ice most of the day even if it's 90 degrees out.
  6. KBB shows that bike to sell for $9270 and thats with an average of 18000 miles on it. I think with 0 miles and full warranty its worth every penny of $10k.
  7. I got relatives up there in ctrl SD that have been without power for over a week now with no relief in sight. Here its just plain cold! I'll take summer anyday over this crud.

I just get the 205W. Then you can either get a waterproof mount from ram mounts (which are fairly cheap) or just buy the accidental damage protection (even cheaper) then you don't have to worry, gets wet, you get it replaced. Save big $$$$.
  9. Just don't go over 7 front and 50 rear. Those are the max's according to the manual anyway.
  10. This is exactly why they are doing these things. Because of the bailout. They no longer need your money if they consider you a "risk" in any way shape or form, and they are being very discriminative in how they figure that. As stated you can pay it off each month and you are a "risk". Because of the bailout they have deemed almost anyone who doesn't have a certain "income to debt ratio" as risks and what to get rid of them beings this bailout money can cover it. They also don't want the people who pay in full each month as they feel they don't make enough money on them in perportion to the cost of credit they incure ( even though they do get a percent of every sale you pay for with the card ). They want to get their customers dropped down to a very select group and don't care how they do it. The US is way too used to having what they want by easy credit and until we do exactly as stated prior, stop using credit cards, this will not go away. Now, try to live without a credit card, in some cases you can, but most of us can't. Try to make a hotel reservation, buy a plane ticket, or too mumerous to mention other things without a credit card, you can't. For some people these things are not needed, but for most of us, our jobs or situations in life require we do these things so well, theres the rock and hard place scenario. What do you do. What needed to happen was no bail out. Thats where the mistake was made. The money was just pure and simply put in the wrong hands, now we all pay for it "again".
  11. This I can't beleive at all. Still carbed???? And yes, give me another gear.
  12. Mine will not disengage with the throttle. I use it all the time to catch up to someone then just let go and cruise is still right where I left it. I don't think its normal for it to disengage by using the throttle.
  13. Thanks. I wasn't a bit concerned about it until I saw this thread. I have seen a lot of joking about it in other posts and such so just figured it was "nature of the beast". Then saw this and got a wee bit nervous. Thanks for the clarification.
  14. Let me get this straight. If you have this changed out it will get rid of the whine??? I guess I figured that was just a bike trait and was not a warranty isssue. Should I be concerned with this whine and have it repaired?????
  15. 100% in agreement. I did many hours of research and homework and found in even independent studies that amsoil came out far on top on any other oils. I use it in my bike and my cars. The drawback is that it is not easily accessable. I have to order it. That part is a bummer. But I am willing to put up with a little inconvenience for my babies!!! PS, no I am not a dealer.
