  1. This post is for Ohio friends. Sorry, not feeling well tonight so messed up. Thank you Tinystar
  2. I am looking for help from our Venture rider friends in Georgia. We just bought our first American Mastiff Puppy. There is a family in Georgia that purchased theirs one month earlier. The family has 5 children ages 17-3. Just found out the mom has had surgery and will be out of work for at least 8 weeks and the Dad just had his knee cap dislocated and is looking at surgery and unable to work at this time. Our American Mastiff friends are looking to help out by donating gift cards, money and presents for the kids. I need to know what grocery stores, clothing stores, ext.. are in Georgia. The family is having to get rid of their new Mastiff puppy which is heartbreaking for the family, If my family can help Corie and Adam give their kids a better Christmas they will be so much appreciative. Thank you Georgia Friends. God Bless Tinystar

  4. Black Owl, you are going to like this one . Since we are leaving from work on Friday morning after working 10 hours, Mike is going to trailer his bike. He is doing this for my benefit, knowing there is no way I can stay awake driving a truck for so many hours up to Laporte . He has to babysit his chili also in that big roaster .

  13. This is so awesome, I thought I was the only one that had these strange happenings. My grandpa passed away when I was 71/2. He and my grandma raised me from the time I was 6 months old. He had went in for heart surgery at the age of 49. My stepmother woke us up one morning and told us we were going to get to go see him, the next day she woke us to tell us he had died. I never got to say good-bye. At the age of 16 in the middle of the night I woke to see him standing at the foot of my bed. I wanted to scream but couln't, I just laid there and shook. My twin sister was living with my grandmother at the time, we were talking about grandpa one day and she told me about him standing at the foot of her bed when we were 16, I about freaked. Years later, in the early 90's I was working at younkers and we were having a early opening. The night before I had a dream that I was walking towards the store and was hit by something black/brown. My grandpa told me I would be ok. At work that morning I was getting my boss a cup of coffee from the large coffee maker we had set on the counter for customers when I felt it start to give. The coffee pot tipped forward and the grounds came flying out on to me. I ended up with 1st and 2nd degree burns on both arms and small burns on my chest from the grounds that went down my dress. Shortly there after my dad who was 49 had his first heart attack. The night before he was to get out of the hospital my grandpa came to me again and said my dad was not ok. He had severe pain in the left side of his chest. I went to the hospital the next day and told my dad about the dream, he thought I was crazy. The doc came in and I told him dad could not go home. The doc thought I was crazy. That following wednesday my dad did not show up for grandparents day at school, I called him and he sounded horrible. I called his doc and they told me to get him to the nearest emergency room. Turned out dad had a mass of bloodclots in his left lung. Had he not gotten to the hosp., he would not be with us today. Grandpa has came back in one more dream and said he will return one more time. Well it wasn't when I lost my grandma so I'm guessing it has to be something with my family. My son that is 19 has had visits from him, he never meet him. One that is really freaky is both of my boys when they were 2 and 3 years old each talked to a special friend. They said it was there brother. I never lost a child.
  14. Your puppy is sooooooooo cute. I like dogs when the're that young. My sons english bull dog was that size 8 months ago, he is now 50 plus pounds. How fast children grow. lol From the picture your puppy looks like a cocker-spaniel. I apologize if I'm wrong. They are very loyal dogs. Best of luck and congratulations on your baby. GOD BLESS JODEE

While you are in this feminine mode, I placed a couple of Cheesecake recipes on another forum, I'm sure your wife and all other ladies would love to try your cheesecake. The recipe is so simple, even a MAN can make it. :rotfl:Have you doubled up on the padding our going to need for your bike? 18. Pete, get to eating, so you can build strength and get back on that bike this summer. I was so shocked to hear the news of your stroke on sunday, after visiting with you on facebook just Saturday night, it goes to show how fast something can happen. You better start taking those elk capsules. Pete, Hazel, take care and if there is something we can do to help let us know. Pete helped Mike a couple of years ago in Minn. by riding with him to try and meet up with me, while I was on my solo trip. That was really kind of him. We will keep both of you in our prayers and wish you a speedy recovery Pete. GOD BLESS. Mike and JoDee Glover
  19. Gary, Mike and I will have you in our prayers. Many people from work have had this surgery and are doing fine. You will also. Take care and GOD BLESS JoDee and Mike
  20. Keep the faith. I was married for 18 years and together for 25 total before the divorce. My ex was physical, emothional, and mentally abusive, to myself and our 3 children. I stayed with him until our daughter graduated and I was able to get a job that would support the boys and myself. When that happened we were gone. My regret was that my daughter had to live the hell for 18 years. I have nor has my husband bashed their dad in front of them. He on the other hand did it regularly. I could always tell when the boys came home on sunday night if they had been at his parents over the weekend. We could not talk to the oldest boy for nearly two days. Then everything would calm down until the next weekend. That lasted nearly two years or so. We have been divorced for 6 years and the bull..... still flyes with him. He manipulates my boys and my daughter something terrible. He has no car payments, house payment, credit card payments. Total monthly bills amount to about 400 dollars. He brought home nearly 600 a week, 6 years ago when we were still married. He told my boys at christmas a year ago that it would be a small christmas because he was quitting his job and starting a new one. That did not happen. This past christmas he said they would not be getting anything from him because he had not paid child support on the oldest one since last feb. and they were making him pay that now. That money went straight into a bank, the ex thinking I pulled one over on her again. He then convinced my 24 year old daughter that he could not afford groceries, so she would give him beef from their farm. I keep bitting my tonge hopping one day the kids will wake up and smell the coffee. In Iowa you have to take a class called children in the middle when you get divorced. My ex manipulated his way through that too. Let the kids know that you love them no-matter what and that when they are ready to talk, you are ready to listen. It has to be their time. My boys have now settled in and realize that they have it better than they ever did. If the 18 year old forgets my daughter reminds him of the hell she went through. The boys were 12 and 2 and a half. They are now, 10 as of this thursday and 19 at the end of feb. There is a wonderful life after a bad divorce. I meet my husband of 1year and 8 months, it was the best thing that had happened to me in my life since my babies were born. I had nearly given up hope that I would ever have peace in my life again. Mike is my angel on earth. God Bless you and your children and I wish you the best of luck, may you find patients you never new you had. JoDee
  21. Welcome aboard highwaypeg. Nice bike. I too have a 650 V-star 2006, I love it. Never dreamed I would be riding my own bike someday till I met my husband Mike. Walked into the store one day and said I'll take that bike, wrote a check and had a 650 Boulevard 2005. Rode that to the black hills and back one fourth of July weekend, could barely get off of it, went to another shop and traded it in for the cadilac V-star and never looked back. I still prefer to ride on back of Mikes if it is short distances or doing a lot of driving around town. Out on the open road I love it. My longest solo trip was to pork in the pines. After getting off the beaten path I put around 800 miles on my bike that day. :bang head:needless to say, I found out how far I can push my stress level. lolllllll. God Bless JoDee
  22. Hi everyone, I wear my helmet at night mainly for the bug factor here in Iowa, and also on real windy days. Other wise I spend more time pushing it up every time I hit a bump in the road and I figure that is more of a safety hazard at that point. Take care. JoDee
