  1. Now that is different. Have no clue but does grab attention.
  2. What a guy. Mike called me about the post I made earlier. We talked about what I said and...well I appreciate that kind of attention to his product. I will be sending some more stuff for his special attention soon. Thanks again Mike.
  3. I wouldn't take that for my 02.
  4. Let us see a picture. I have your fins but will be doing a flush on brakes and clutch soon. Good time to change them.
  5. Ya think ya shoulda looked at your machine afore ya rode it. That is called "PRE TRIP" inspection. I am sorry but if you don't take care of your ride you may be a statistic.
  6. I have never had a whine and don't have a problem. Mine is an 02 RSMV and I have 180,000 miles on it.
  7. Use my tach always. Keep those revs up and only shift above 3K. Better mileage and performance.
  8. Definitely XS11.com. I have an 80 XS Eleven Special with 25,000 original miles. Runs good but needs cleaning and polishing. At best it would be a $2200.00 bike.
  9. The Dunlop D404 has been on my 02 RSMV since the original Bridgestones came off. I have 180,000 plus miles and have never had an issue with this tire. Good in rain and dry highway plus good grip in gravel. Many of (you) riders have become high tire price groupies. Dunlop has made great tires for decades and still do. Buy what you want but don't bad mouth the others. BTW I get 10-12,000 on front and 8,000 rear and change my own.
  10. Braided cables are great outer sleeves, but would probably not have helped the internal cable from breaking. There may be some friction going on to wear at the inner cable.
  11. And to think he actually road Road Dog.
  12. Just for correct language, it is a Castle Nut. Man that wore me out.
  13. I want to know more about the bike. The tires are toast. Need pictures.
  14. I like what you have posted. I posted to your original post that the EFM may help. I don't have the EFM but a buddy does, on a two wheeler Venture, and he loves it. Now I am looking at a trike, so I will give EFM a call when I decide which kit I will buy.
  15. I have the Dyna 3000 and have had no problems in 9-10 years. It is set on 2. Never needed jets or pipes. Still runs on 87 octane. Just gives me higher revs.
  16. Carbon One +++++. The best. I have used it for years and have had no problems, even when raising full up.
  17. Hey Money Venture, stick around you will like it here. I am on XS 1100 also besides here and you will not find more info on the Venture any where else.
  18. I agree, to much to comprehend.
  19. What he said! The Clearview will solve all your problems. Put one on mine and wife loves it. No more buffeting. I ordered the XL. And they call the bend "recurve" and it works by forcing the air higher up. I also have the vent which puts air into your space which would not be there without the vent.
  20. Very, VERY cool. Brings back memories of my 62 Police bike. Although much newer and modern it had the foot clutch and jockey shift. Also the brakes really sucked. The front brake was only good to hold on a hill. The rear drum did all the work.
  21. The bars from the Tour Deluxe are wider and have about 1 1/2 inch pull back. I put them on my 02 five years ago and love them. No more sore shoulders.
  22. I have an 02 Midnight Venture and would like to hear from those that have a Tri Wing conversion. I am familiar with the Hannigan since a buddy has one. And I had a Hanniugan sidecar but the steering was hard on my shoulders. Anyone with an American conversion is welcome to chime in.
  23. No wonder my wife falls into sleep when riding. Very boring for the passenger.
  24. Your story hit home with me also. Been thinking of letting Sylvester go, but I have changed my mind now. My knees have seen better times and my lower back too. I may look into triking. Thanks,
  25. This has always worked well with me also. I don't have a trike so I cannot say anything else that would relieve the situation.
