  1. Cleaned out the attic today and found the bucket for my tour trunk. This was replaced under warranty many years ago due to not have the foam padding under the mount area. There are some cracks radiating from the mount holes but not too bad. I would gladly supply this to someone in need for the cost of shipping. There is no lid or locks with it. All my info is on my page.
  2. I am at 185,000 miles and no problems other than the rear shock giving up at 181,000 miles. My bike is a 2002 RSMV and has been fantastic. Get yourself one.
  3. I live in mild temperatures here in Bessemer City, NC about 30 miles from Charlotte to the west, but even I have a 13.5 kw generator for any emergencies. Have used it maybe three times in six years, but only for a brief time. I can't imagine that if I was living in the northern US or anywhere in Canada, that I would not have a backup generator. Hope your winter gets better.
  4. Could be the thermostat and I would think that is it. Don't want to think about possible ice or plugged up radiator.
  5. OK, I don't know what a Buddy Rich cable is. Can I get some information, please?
  6. We did not gift this year. We have a new 3 months old grand daughter and are putting money into her college fund already. I did get my wife a gift certificate for a Swedish massage and she got me an Ionic air filter for my allergies. That was it and I loved it. Hope all of you had a good, warm and loving Christmas.
  7. Do they go boxing today? I don't want to get hit in the face so I will stay down here in reasonable temperature North Carolina.
  8. Amen, brother, and a very Merry Christmas plus a great Happy New Year!
  9. Yes, Mark, in my opinion you are a full red blooded American. Canada and the US have been joined by more than a border for many years.
  10. I am sure you would love to get to Phoenix this time of year and leave that winter in Canada. Hope Copper Bus takes you up on that offer.
  11. I had this problem years ago on my 02 and it was a broken belt on the front tire. Last time I put Metzlers on my bike.
  12. I had a white Christmas in 1983 while living in Omaha, that was the last one. Love the southern weather.
  13. Near 60 here today about 33 miles west of Charlotte, NC. Will that do?

    YAHOO

I didn't receive one. I am really, really disappointed. If I do get one I will use MikeG's information to claim my prize. He wouldn't mind and I would give him a few bucks for the trouble. Ain't I a good friend. Thanks Mike.
  15. Yep time to close the thread. I feel frustration on both sides and a group hug is in order.
  16. In my experience the best you will get is trickle charge. If you have AC current, get a battery charger or for maintenance a Yuasa m/c charger, which is what I use for the long term charge/maint.
  17. Scared the he77 out of me.
  18. Probably from the NC mountains. I think he makes "white lightning", in fact I am sure of it. I bought some from him earlier this fall, really good shine.
  19. Like all big stores, you get what you should have expected. Service and knowledge are not what they are noted for, but huge selection and lower prices are. When I need service and knowledge, I go to the internet or better yet, a full service store that specializes in what I want. I am lucky to have two great hardware stores within six mile of my home, and a TSC store that I buy from.
  20. Maybe, but not as much as I asked for.
  21. I don't remember a difference in throttle control on my Cushman Eagle as opposed to later motorcycles, but then again that was fifty plus years ago. Also I have Windows 8 and like it.
  22. BUBs rule.
  23. The BMW designed opposed twin sure last for many decades, and still continues in some copies. I had an R 65 many years ago. Not blinding speed but ran very well with good mountain power.
  24. Bought the red Craftsman 12 years ago ($89.95 on sale) and the Carbon 1 adapter 4 years ago, they are perfect together. And I use them many times each year.
  25. Mike, I swear, you have had more issues with 2nd gens. than anyone. Keep on keeping on my friend.
