    As I know little about Canadian mc touring, I do get into Manitoba, Alberta and Saskatchewan in trucking. You made me laugh about the trip on the 305 SH, I rode from Omaha, NE to Denver, CO and back about the same time on a 305 CL77 scrambler. Man I was finally a biker at near 62 mph.

    The ipod and iphone connector is wide but I cannot count the pins. More like teeth is what I see.

    Looks like some upholsterer would give you all a discount for that many repairs.

    Probably not. If there is a relay, it would be behind the main fairing. And it is a common problem with these machines. Without the relay the ignition switch has to power all the lights and the starter during ignition causing it to heat up.

    I understand now. How often has this been a problem on the RSV? I installed a relay for the passing lamps to take the load off the switch eight years ago. No problems in the 182,xxx miles on the machine.

    WHY? I am sure there is a reason, but I don't understand.

    At my age the burnouts are not in the cards. But just knowing you can smoke the HD any time you want makes me feel very good.

    I forgot to mention that this machine could get me in trouble. It will run out from under you if you are not careful. Great muscle bike.

    It is sitting next to Sylvester and it sure looks small next to the 02 RSMV. I have ridden it around the county roads and it runs very nice. Everything works other than the turn signals. The light comes on but no blinking. Probably the flasher. I will soon begin to flush the brake lines, change the final drive, lube the pins and gears, and I will replace the carb boots (that are cracked). Rebuild the front forks and look and the rear shocks. Love the sound of the Kerker exhaust. And I now belong to the XS11.com forum group.

    Twelve years in December for my 02 Midnight. 182,xxx miles without a let down other than my rear shock gave out a couple weeks back.

    The master cylinder may need a rebuild.

    If the E&G was in the summer, I would love to attend. Saskatoon is lovely then. Then again so is Alberta and Manitoba.

    Leaving early tomorrow morning and meeting the seller in Troy, OH and pick up bike. Be back on Thursday. Very excited.

    Works great for hooking items that are under the bed. At least that is what my son did with my T-square.

    I have had mine for at least three years and they work well. My only problem is the adhesive that attaches to the lower fairing get loose during use. I have tried other velcro adhesive strips that stay on but the velcro loosens. Is it possible to get new strips only.

    Yep, that's what it looks like to me. But maybe someone in Cherokee can give a much better weather report. Remember that it will be at best 50% correct.

    Highs for the most part in the low 60s, cold at night. Wed. & Thur. low 50s for high with possible rain. You can get this information by going to Accuweather.com.

    I hate your pure logic. I would prefer to be jerked back to the bike or see it tip over. I have run Gerbing gloves since the early nineties and have no complaints.

    I have purchased the bike and will pick up next Wed. Low miles, complete history from previous owner, very clean and I got a deal. Guaranteed to run like stated by owner. Pick up in Dayton Ohio, owner will trailer it down from Ann Arbor, MI. I am excited. A true early muscle bike that I plan on a complete restoration keeping it as close to stock as I can.
