  1. I would not sell mine for what I paid for it in 2001. You will learn the slow technique and then you will enjoy the comfort and power of the beast.
  2. It is easy to replace these yourself. Look in the forums for details on how-2. They will last about 15-20k miles for me on the rear. Fronts go a little quicker.
  3. I have a rear wheel and rotor with about 30K miles.
  4. Gunboat was a member here that passed away suddenly. I will let those that knew him tell you why he was special.
  5. I am fairly color blind but my buddy has an 09 Seashell/Raven and it looks gold tone to me.
  6. Plus one on the Skydock clutch upgrade.
  7. On the 2nd gen. they are signal and hazard only. I doubt that they were different on the 1st gen.
  8. You will never regret quitting. I haven't in the last twenty five years.
  9. I don't care what you do, Freebird. I have more important problems...they changed the format on the Daily Funnies on Yahoo. :bawling:
  10. Who's Rick?
  11. I marked this post as read and all the posts are now in light print (meaning read).
  12. I'm not even close enough to make it. I hope others in the area attend. You deserve to have their company and camaraderie.
  13. The new Indian Motorcycles (Polaris) will be air cooled Vtwin (of course) but with a unit construction. That way the cost of mfg. is reduced. Means no more independent transmission. But with the 110 ci engine it satisfies the public. And their Victory line is doing just fine with the Vtwin. I see the death of water cooled engines, except for Honda, which has a large client base.
  14. All I can say, Mike...is Amen.
  15. Great looking scoot. I ride very little now due to the joint and leg pain, so I understand.
  16. I believe that you may have a riding style issue. I run Dunlop D404 exclusively and consistently get 10-13 K miles back to front. This is always a concern with mileage on tires, since we all ride differently. Just my 2 cents worth.
  17. I have the PCW from three years ago and it does settle in with no problem.
  18. I am very sorry that this happened to you. My bout was in 1983 and I was written off with T cell lymphoma. An oncologist in Omha had a new treatment and my doctor said it was all I had. Thirty years without any signs of it coming back. There is always hope through prayer.
  19. Not familiar with the difference, but a little weld and re-chrome would solve the problem.
  20. Why change from 5 to 4? Use the 5 wire system by adding independent brake lights. I was surprised at how simple it was when I wired my trailer.
  21. I sent it to all my e-mail receivers. Very, very good.
  22. Hooh rah.
  23. One of the best solutions for short-legged riders is large heels (western or harness boots). These do wonders for your control. I am 5-10+ with 30" inseam. Never had a problem with control since I have always worn western boots. I even installed the levelers for better control. These lift the rear about 1" but I still have no problem.
  24. And some people ask what they get for $12.00 a year? The best and most knowledgeable members of any motorcycle website!
