  1. Mine was a 58 pan with about the same look as this one. I had 22" extension but I can't remember the rake. Yes it was a hard tail and yes it beat me to death. My wife, then my girl friend, remembers going for a ride on it and told me never to pick her up on that crap again.
  2. I was in a Power Outlet store today picking up a string trimmer head for a Stihl and saw a Wheel Horse tractor. It was new and had a V-twin motor with twin exhaust stacks on the right side. Should have taken a pic with my phone and posted it here. I did not notice or look for a pto but it was a decent size tractor, bigger than my JD LA 175. There was no accessories on it. I assume it is all ala carte. If I hadn't read this post I would never had registered the brand name.
  3. I installed Baron's gold emulators in my 02 RSMV and have enjoyed them for 195,000 miles.
  4. I sure do love the weather in North Carolina. No need to store...just ride.
  5. For me it is 42 rear, 40 front.
  6. 194,000 + on the original shock, my 02 RSMV never has given me cause for concern,
  7. I have a good friend in the area. He is a Star Touring and Riding Assc. member but a great guy. Kind of overpowering when you first see him at 6'-8" but he is a motor officer in Virginia Beach and a riding fool. He is not a Venturerider.com member to my knowledge. PM, me if you want a contact number.
  8. Ethanol in gas will eat the fuel lines. My Stihl hedge trimmer is down waiting on parts that dissolved.
  9. Everything done to my Sylvester has been done by me. Maybe a curse but at least a compulsion. Even change my own tires. Now that being said, I am also a wood butcher. My wife doesn't understand me and I can't explain it. She tells me to slow down, rest, talk more, spend more time with her and just relax. Sounds bad, right? But I am also an outdoor cooking nutcase! I love smoking meats and my Texas brisket has won "best of" awards. Know what else? I am a mini farmer. Have 4.5 Acres that produce lots of produce that we can, eat and sell. And I work full time for a heavy civil construction company. Big Lenny, I admire you. :clap2:
  10. :clap2: That's what I'm talkin' about!
  11. I keep my 02 on a battery tender whenever I am not riding. I got seven years from my original Yuasa and I am on five years with the Deka.
  12. Deka AGM, end of discussion.
  13. Got to love young guts for glory.
  14. I wonder why you would want one? In my 190,000+ miles on my 02 RSMV nobody has ever messed with it other than to tell me how good it looks.
  15. I have them on my Venture. I will post a pic later, since I am on the road now. They are really great lights and worth the money.
  16. When I trailer my 02 RSMV (only twice), I use the handlebars and the rear crash bars as tie points.
  17. Quite a few. I was with STAR for many years. Our chapters around Charlotte have closed so I dropped my membership.
  18. You inhibited his driving by being in the lane he wanted. Never a good position for a motorcycle. Good that you are fine.
  19. Yep, as always, the product is not available. This goes back to when they introduced the LED tail spoiler for the Venture. I ordered one and was given the run around for seven months by the dealer. It finally came out twelve months later than when I ordered it. I had already cancelled my order.
  20. Your dad was a great man in my eyes and a true patriot. Thanks, Mike, for that info.
  21. Since my Sylvester is nearing 13 years old I have been thinking of a new bike. I would keep Sylvester for the long rides. http://www.wired.com/2014/09/burly-65k-motorcycle-inspired-fighter-plane/ This looks like it would do nicely.
  22. A fool and his money are...? Can't remember the rest.
  23. That is the reason that my family will have to get rid of Sylvester since I will never sell it. 190.000 plus miles of pure enjoyment.
  24. I pray that Skid comes through this and that he lives a complete life. What amazes me is the devotion of his friends, especially Yammer Dan. I only hope to have this for my hour of need. God bless you, Skid and may the good Lord look favorably on you.
