    Clutch

If you have to push the clutch lever out to get the Cruise to work, you have a problem with the clutch switch. Usually this only takes adjusting the clutch to rest forward.
  2. DAMN, that is gorgeous. Ridden Canada many times but never that far west. Thanks.
  3. Snow last night and early morning here in Bessemer City, NC west of Charlotte, NC. Freezing rain (sleet) this afternoon. More snow tonight and into tomorrow. Lows tomorrow night in the very low twenty degrees. After that we get better weather on Sunday in the mid forties and back to normal on Monday in the fifties.
  4. I don't have B-D but I do have one like it and it works fine. No issues in three years. Just keep it charged.
  5. Yes, I have it on my 02 RSMV and have installed it on numerous other RSV and RS bikes. Just order the heavy clutch spring and the full inner clutch plate. Your discs on the bike will mic out as spec. (I am betting). If you have other questions send me a PM. Oh and I have 200,000 miles on original clutch.
  6. Not where I live, been raining forever. No worry of a drought this spring or summer.
  7. What the hell is happening to the site? Is everyone getting old and senile like me? Praying for Fool and Puc.
  8. I just love happy stories started bad. God bless you and Tippy.
  9. Never had a problem with anything breaking when I did not need it. :whistling:
  10. Who you calling and old timer you Old Timer? Been here a few years, how many I can't tell since the change, but without this site I would not have learned many of the maintenance and repair procedures that has kept Sylvester on the road for 200k miles. But my age is up there and I ride much less now...but I do ride. Keep it simple stupid and leave the site the way I have come to love it. I will be a member until they pull the plug on the machine.
  11. The trapazoid flood was recommended by another member, but the light diffusion was so wide and high that I felt it dangerous to oncoming traffic and therefore to me also.
  12. Manitowoc cranes, I always loved operating them over all else. If they made pickups, I would have one.
  13. Found the site. Their bulb is not much different than most cree lights which I have in the Afterburner brand. I use the Larsen 20 deg. spot for pass lights and it works very well. https://www.larsenlights.com/par-36-45-18-watt-flood-light
  14. Do you have a site for these? I don't come up with them except on Facebook. I think the Scotlights would look good and function great but not sure they will fit our RSV's.
  15. Almost 70 (next April) and still working, because to me the other option doesn't fit. I need structure and need to produce so I continue on. But I have fun and still ride.
  16. Thankis Steve, looks similar to the Afterburner but I do notice a difference (I think). I won't know until I remove the Cree. Seems to me that there is and extention on what you show that is probably the high beam. I will get back with you when I get around to removing the Cree.
  17. You have a grasp on the problem, for sure. Auto LED lights are LED only on many models without a reflector. And like the Larsen spot lights I installed, there is no reflector since I had to remove the Adjure to install the LED. But isn't it amazing, the technology that has evolved since the introduction of the Gen 2 Venture?
  18. I believe that this is the problem we are dealing with. The LED lights don't fit our light housings the way halogen does. When it warms up, next week, I will try the H4 Silvastar Ultra in place of the Cree Afterberner. Although I had some of the same issues with the H4 before going to the Cree. The high beam always seemed to be higher than I felt useful but that was necessary to get the low beam on target. Remember that I have the Adjure reflectors in the headlight.
  19. It will never be able to hit North Carolina no matter how much HP he has.
  20. Update, got up with Larsen lights and now have installed the 20 degree Led spot lights. Took Sylvester out this morning (bbrrr) and they are much better for me. Granted it was a brief ride but showed me more road light without blinding on coming traffic. Have not addressed the Afterburner headlight yet.
  21. He11 my o rings are drying up too.
  22. What is with this puny caliber/grain thing? I like 400-500 grain soft polnts in 45-70 flavor. The underbrush never affects them.
  23. Gastonia NC is close to my farm. You can take Sylvester but he will spoil you with all he has. Let me know.
  24. Yes, I put a Hannigan side car on my 02 RSMV a few years ago. Bought it off Graigs list and picked it up in Mississippi. Very good condition and I had it installed by Hannigan dealer. I did not like the hard steering and found it very uncomfortable, but I am up in years and arthritis is evident. Sold it to a friend on Star Touring and he came and we installed it on his RSMV. He still is riding it. The idea was good but I did not want to invest in the Hannigan easy steer and then to find out it did not work. There is a whole new learning curve to ride one. They will rise up on you even if you run ballast when riding single. PM me if you would like more info.
  25. Buy a chain saw and get to work. Otherwise I see no relief for your leave removal. I have woods on my property but way out back. Only planted trees that will not affect my gutters when building the house. But the grass is killing me mowing weekly from early March until ??? still mowing.
