  1. I am all for the black since I have one from an auction. Besides the mustard one only hides mustard...
  2. I have Larsen Lights PAR 36 in my passing lights and love them.
  3. You were certainly following the story a long time. Must have been or are a LEO or similar. Thanks for the input,
  4. We are getting HELL now in GA, SC, NC and VA. May be some of what you all experienced.
  5. Sadden by this but know his pain is over. Loved the posts and hope that the ride in the sky is fantastic for him with many turns and hills. We are all getting closer to our demise all we can hope is that we leave a memory. And Black Owl has done this.
  6. I have read and enjoyed Black Owl for years. I pray that he recovers and rides again. But if that is not God's wish, then I pray that HE holds him close. Godspeed Black Owl
  7. Thanks Puc, you paint a picture like Rembrandt. I hope in my declining years that old Sylvester and I can make the journey one more time. Raised and turned wild in Nebraska in the 60s, and road everywhere my Triumphs and Nortons and Harleys could carry me. Thanks again,
  8. As well you should be proud of our servicemen. I love the graphics.
  9. North Carolina is my state and I ride on many chip seal highways and never have had a problem. The first road I encounter when leaving my access gravel road is chip seal. I don't see any problem. Now if you are the first to follow the spreader and tack truck, you will need to be careful and also have a lot of cleanup when you get home.
  10. Miles mean nothing. I have over 200k on my 02 and when I was with Star Touring a member had 296k on a 99 RSV and that was in 2005. The burl wood is and applicay that I have on my bike also. Looked great new but the sun does it harm. I would buy it in a heartbeat if it was within 200 miles.
  11. I have had the original RIVCO air horns since 2002 on my Venture and replaced the air lines once. Very loud but only out front.
  12. Quigley down under. Beautiful rifle. I have a modern .45-70 (Marlin) but I can't shoot it due to arthritis in my shoulder. Took many deer with this beast in the past.

  14. Yes toy haulers are expensive but they are designed to do the job. A 7,000# camping trailer with a GVWR of ?, probably doesn't fit the job. GVWR is what you need to look at with what you have. The bike with all other counter weight and supplies added to the weight of the trailer as is, is all it is legal to carry. DOT looks at this.
  15. I believe that you did the right thing, Stay with what works for you.
  16. I have had BUBs since nearly new and they have a deep resonance but not too load. And as they age they get better.
  17. I would love to help you, Big Lenny, but I have only had the experience of the first set of Bridgestones and the replacement Metzlers for those. Since then I have only run Dunlop D404 tires. That was 178,000 miles ago when I put the first set on. Never had a complaint or problem with them. I get 8-10K out of them but I change my own tires and use Dyna Beads for balancing. They are relatively cheaper and grab the road. Stay with the Pirelli and enjoy.
  18. Prayers headed north for you, Snaggletooth.
  19. I have included you and your family in my prayers. So sorry for all you have been through and all you will go through.
  20. Sorry that I just found this post, been farming all weekend. My wife and I are praying for the little one and will continue forever.
  21. I have never met you, but have read your posts for years. I hope and pray for your recovery from your ailment. God Bless,
  22. God bless you, Don and God bless your brother in law. Prayers up for his recovery.
  23. Amen but still praying.
  24. Prayers have been said and more coming.
