  1. I agree. It sounds like it has the Baron's lowering kit installed. That kit includes a bracket to relocate the caliper as yours is.
  2. For those of you who use a Blackberry, I had a request to install the BerryBlab application and have done so. I have not tried it and have not heard back from the member who requested it so I don't know how well it works. I have been told that the Tapatalk application is really buggy for the Blackberry so if you want to try this one, you are welcome to do so. If you do, please report your results. I may try it also. http://www.berryblab.com/
  3. Yamaha just doesn't release that information. I've even email Yamaha in Japan a couple of times over the years and never even got a response from them.
  4. I've heard of the punch mark near the serial number too but don't know how true it is. If you buy an '86 or newer though, you don't have to worry about it.
  5. Glad to hear that you found a seat. Just to update the info about Bob's Corbin seat in case anybody is interested. It does include the riders backrest and the wrap around passengers backrest. That comes to a total of $907.00 at the Corbin website. His price of $400.00 includes all three pieces.
  6. Folks, the Ponderosa in Cody, WY has just a few cabins and they were all booked up. I had one of those reserved. I have just canceled my as Eileen and I have decided to take our chance on using our hotel points to save the money. So, they now have ONE cabin available. If you want it, you better call fast because it won't last long. You can call Linda at (307) 587-9203 tell her that you are calling about the cabin that Don Nelson had reserved. Please post here if you have reserved it so that others won't bother to keep calling. The downside is that you will likely be a neighbor to Squid boy.
  7. It is nothing new. The cd changer was an option starting in 1999 and has been an option until last year when they made it standard. I'm sure that they are REALLY trying to get rid of all those cd changers. It will still have the cassette and the same cd changer that has been available for more than 10 years. I would lay money that is the case.
  8. Yea, I don't know if you talked to him or not. I can say that if it were mine, I wouldn't take less than $400.00 for it. That's less than half the cost of new and is a very good price.
  9. Well that surprises me...I even sent him the link to the discussion in case he missed it and talked to him a day or two later. He is a great guy, don't know what happened.
  10. Naw...I knew you were going to ask.
  11. I work for a manufacturer of dimensional letters and plaques. We are a wholesaler to the sign industry. Most of my time is spent meeting with sign companies and architects.
  12. I don't have an extra but if you are in the market for a good used Corbin with drivers and passenger backrest, I have one in my garage that another member left here during maintenance day and wants to sell. I think he wants $400.00 for it.
  13. Well...you would be surprised. Not a lot up there but the triangles, circles, etc. indicate my customers in Michigan.
  14. Yes, it is still listed in the "features". This is a cut and paste from the Star site. Single-point audio control system for AM/FM radio, cassette, CD changer and intercom is MP3-compatible and headset-ready.
  15. OK....you should see what you were looking for now. We'll see if everybody..or most...like it better this way.
  16. I honestly don't know of any other reason why it won't work. Try sending them to me by email to dnelson@venturerider.org and I'll take a look.
  17. What size are they? I'm guess that they are WAY too big. They should be resized to 640 x 480 and no more than 200,000 bytes.
  18. They should be states visited by motorcycle.
  19. I see. I'll see if I can come up with something.
  20. HEY HEY...that was a low blow. I admit though that it hasn't seen much sun this year. Eileen and I did get in a 250 mile ride the weekend before my surgery though. That has been about it though.
  21. I think that State College is about as far east as I go. Haven't actually seen a detailed map yet but I used to cover that area and I think it's the same as before.
  22. GREAT...so NOW what do I do for fun?
  23. Every post has a date and time that it was posted. It is in the blue menu bar at the top of each post on the left side of the bar.
  24. OK...not really true but I just got a basic map of my new work territory. It is effective October 1st. Now I just have to figure out where I'm going first.
  25. I never have but I've seen advertisements around here of a couple of places that do it.
