    I have been using the NGK Iridium plugs for a long time. This past July 4th I changed mine out after putting nearly 50K on them. The old plugs looked perfect despite the miles on them. I like the way my bike runs with these plugs and I have no intention of using anything else on my bike. There may be something else going on with your bike which is affecting performance. Boomer....who sez ya gotta go with what works best for you.

    As it is the trailer does not look too heavy.....but with all the mods being planned here that might be towable only with a truck!! Boomer....who sez that sucker would make one heck of a portable Bar fer Poker Runs and such....

    I am passing this on to you all because it definitely worked for me today, and we could all probably use more calm in our lives. Some doctor on television this morning said that the way to achieve inner peace is to finish all the things you have started. So I looked around my house to see things I'd started and hadn't finished and this morning I finished off a bottle of Merlot, a bottle of Chardonnay, a bodle of Baileys, a butle of wum, a pockage of Prunglies, tha mainder of bot Prozic and Valum scriptins, the res of a Chesescke an a box a choclets. Boomer....who sez Yu haf no idr how bludy guod I feel rite now.

    I did this ride in 2009. Expect to ride with a huge number of bikes! The NYPD are just super with their escort and traffic control. Make sure you gas up before you jump in on the route. When you reach Ground Zero you will see thousands of people there cheering on the riders and offering food/beverages and sincere thanks. Patriot Guard is heavily involved with this ride....check your State's PGR Site for ride route and join points. Boomer...who sez expect yer eyes to leak at Ground Zero so wear sunglasses....

    Simple rule for both tires and brake pads..."When in doubt replace!" Boomer....who sez tires and brake pads are a lot cheaper than his life.

    Sometimes my scoot will not trigger a light change. After a reasonable wait of 5 minutes I will roll through the intersection when it is safe to do so. Most LEO's are fair and reasonable....my logic tells me if the LEO saw me blow the light he also saw me waiting for the light to change....to date no pullover's and no ticket. Caution....If you are at a city intersection that has cameras installed to catch red light runners you are pooched. Best you can do is pull off to the side and let a car come up and trigger the light for you. Boomer....who sez ya meet the nicest folks at a intersection when ya ask em to pull up beside ya and trigger the light.

    Go easy on the throttle....make frequent stops....use the scenic roads if possible.....Riding as a passenger is not a easy task for someone who is not used to doing so. Teach her to be an extra set of eyes on the road as well as a Navigator to help you reach your destination. The more enjoyable you make the ride for her the quicker she will relax and really enjoy doing this with you. Boomer....who sez if ya can't handle incessant "chatter from the back" then lose the intercom idea....

    I bought a small scissor jack from NAPA and I keep it stored on the bike along with a Plug Kit and 12V air compressor. Boomer....who sez it's better to be prepared rather than be in the woods widdout toilet paper/Handiwipes.

    Kenny and Beth just left our place (11:45AM) and are Bogalusa bound for sure. It was great to see them and the visit was way too short. We could not convince them to stay overnight....lol. Boomer....who sez some folks should NOT drink Margarita's..... :rotf:
