  1. As you usually are, most of the time...... They use coffee, instead of smelling salts with him, to get a reaction out of him. :rotf::rotf:
  2. Same things, that I was wondering about.... The only good thing, is that Lil Bit wasn't on the scoot, during this trip. for you Ponch.
  3. MGRS Coord 15T UN 58143 32038 Or just look at my waypoint printout.
  4. Check with Wizard 765 for his impressions on the area, but I think you would really enjoy the Coombs to Tofino area (Vancouver Island) on the scoot. With a weeks notice, I should be able to get a day or two off work, to show you the way.
  5. Grump had to put his 750 on the battery charger & I had to take the truck out for a long run to get the battery back up. Since we got back to home turf, a week ago.
  6. I have been running the hotter plugs for a few years, with no problems at all. As the bike couldn't even begin to get up to tempature, by the time I got to work (less than 1 mile). In fact both bikes that just finished the 2 & 1/2 month, aprox 10,000 mile trip last week are still running the DPR7EA9 plugs.
  7. I won't be there. Both outhouses should be by the garage, just in case, Steve keeps it occupied again....
  8. Yammer, the scoot is too slow for a fork brace, after all it's a 2nd gen & not a 1st gen.....
  9. What do you mean getting, after all you are retired..... During my travels, the v twins that I saw on the side of the hwy, had no rider with them.
  10. As in a wayward picnic table, I'm guessing. As I'm fairly sure, that the old hooter wasn't topless in the evenings. Just the early mornings & I had unfortunately seen that sight. :bang head:
  11. Done, just have to merge the usa & cdn ones, before posting.
  12. I can honestly say, that Black Owl rode his scoot in Yellowstone, without falling off & dumping it. But he ran out of gas, where I had to take a gas can of fuel, back to him. As he had failed to top up at the first gas station, we stopped at. :rotf:
  13. No need to feel bad Mike, we wanted to get cooled off & I didn't think to check, whom was in the area.
  14. Probably less than that Mike, because of the I 29 flood detour. We stayed at the Omaha motel 6 on the south side, before heading west on I 80 the next day.
  15. Now that I'm back at home, with the summer wandering finished. Here is a map of the main routes, but not all of the side trips. The ballpark figure for total milage is 10,000, as I forgot to note the odometer on the 86 prior to starting, but knowing I put much less than 1,000 on it, since buying it for this trip. :mo money:
  16. Plug wires are seperate from the coils, so can be fairly easily changed. Put new caps on too. Stainless Braided flex lines for the brakes make a huge improvement. I can stop in about 250 feet from 70 mph on the 83. I also have the EBC Prolite rotors on the 83. As for plastic repair, I use Plastex, but some others use ground up abs plastic & acitone.
  17. I called him, about this & also gave him some tips on steering neck bearings as well.
  18. Brian, if that is a Mk2 it has the Mk1 headlight trim & headlight mount assy. More likely the scoot is a Mk1, with Mk2 baggage conversion.
  19. Way too late, for sure..... :rotf:
  20. Now at home, after doing some visiting with a friend, over at the lake.
  21. Not quite home yet, on the ferry in active pass. He is wondering, how long he can stick around home, before going nuts.
  22. Currently in Merit BC, will be home today.
  23. Grump & I left Cody, with another invite for Idaho, but had to decline, at least for now. Still looking like I will be back to work, on the 15th, as I haven't been told otherwise.
  24. Still need to visit with Grumps daughter on route to the island. Will possibly see StuD again to pass off the borrowed spare TCI. Instead of mailing it to him, from home.
