Nothing like a guy posting about all the stuff he's buying and then crying broke! What did they do twist your arm?

I'm VP of Chapter #402 in Murphy NC. STAR is a family friendly organization that gives you a chance to get out and ride with some good folks without the macho or brand specific BS. STAR also does a lot of good in local communities. STAR is the single largest donor to the Feed the Children charity.-Jack

Harley is trying to appeal to a different (younger) demographic. They have to if they're going to survive. -Jack

If I'm not mistaken the dominoes usually fall the other way. Aircraft company has orders for aircraft, orders parts including engines, engine manufactuer hires workers to fill orders... Lockheed learned it's lesson in the '70s when Rolls Royce almost put us out of business. We get our engines from Pratt & Whitney and GE. Besides, I started this thread to help folks who might be looking for employment in this down economy. If you follow the link to the Lockheed web page you will see hundreds of jobs available. I don't see what Rolls Royce has to do with that. Maybe you should start a thread entitled "Rolls Royce announces layoffs" -Jack:Im not listening to

Not really sure what this has to do with the title or intention of this thread.-Jack

Sorry Steve, I don't know him.-Jack

Old experience is a lot better than no experience which is what most young people have today. 70% of the engineers and skilled workers in aerospace will reach retirement age in the next 5 yrs. In aerospace the problem isn't lack of work it's lack of workers!-Jack

Great Mike! C-130 is getting ready to triple production in the next year. We are also getting some F 35 work from Ft Worth and the F 22 has a few years left at least. More if they let us take some foriegn orders. The Japanese and Israellis want it bad! Email me a resume and I will forward it to them with my referral.-Jack

I know some on this site are out of work or soon may be. My company is hiring and is having trouble finding qualified people. The company is Lockheed Martin. Our business is booming and are pretty much insulated from the ups and downs of the general economy. We have divisions all over the country so there may be one near you or they may even pay to relocate you. They are in need of specialized engineers and also some hourly trades. If you are interested email me and I can refer you. Some of the engineering jobs are. Applications Analysts SAP Analysis, Design & Implementation Computer Systems Architects Systems Security Engineering Research Scientists/Research Engineers Low Observable Antenna/Radome Design Infrared Signature Radar Cross Section (RCS Some of the hourly positions are: In Fort Worth: Manufacturing Planner Instrumentation Mechanic A Electrical Electrician - Maintenance A Field and Service Mechanic A Plumber – Maintenance A Maintenance Mechanic A Tool Maker A In Marietta Functional Test Mechanic Jig and Fixture Builders Manufacturing Planners Tube Bender In Palmdale: Fabrication & Structural Development Mechanic Inspection – Nondestructive-Test Specialist Machine Mechanic - Maintenance Senior Machine – NC Mill Machine Mechanic Flight Test Instrumentation Technicians Maintenance Electrician A Tube Mechanic You can search for jobs on there website here http://www.lockheedmartin.com/ They're a good company to work for. I've been with them for 25 yrs. Good luck!-Jack:thumbsup2:
