  7. Thanks for the pics, this is something that I have been thinking of doing, my shoulders and neck get to hurting pretty bad after a few hundred miles. Besides the pics of the weights, how about a right up of the project? Did you have to change cables? re-route? any way it looks great!! K

  9. Oh ok, now I get it... not sure what they are called but have seen them before. are they 1/4 or 3/8 ?? or bigger?? Houston Nut and Bolt used to have specialty fasteners, not sure if they still do.. they over there on Hempstead and I think Pinemont.. What are you using them for? Good luck, K
  10. no, but you may try and get a "O-Ring that will fit on it and try to get it up under the part that moves, that may help
  11. I have a 2nd gen but mounted it on the dash, cut a small notch in the fairing where it dosen`t show and ran the wire inside the fairing, not sure about a first gen..
  12. Thom, would really like to see ya, but that rally is another ( Been there, Done that) so I wont be going, have a great time and be safe, maybe catch ya around town, or down the road.. K

That is what is happening, the lid catch on the left ( looking at it ) probably has a loose screw that is getting hung up. try to get your arm in there or something and mess with the arm of the catch, dont force it open as that will bend it and make things worse, if anf when you get it open remove the plastic cover and check all the screws that hold it in place. sorry I cant be of more help, mine did the same thing and that is what was wrong. K
  14. I have had mine on the bike for over a year and no melting of any kind, think you will be ok, it is a tight fit. K

Order the Skydoc upgrade, get a new gasket form the stealer, when you get all the parts together, post up. there are a bunch of us in the Houston area, we can either come to you or you can come over to one of our homes and we`ll get it done. Or if you want to, just pick a date and post a mini maint. day at your home, folks will show up. The members in this area are always willing to rip apart someone elses bike..LOL any way, welcome to the site and like I say, get the parts together and post up a date, help will come out of the wood work!!   23. Any one ever use any of this??? I couldn`t find what % of Molly it is, they use it on Drill Head gears after they get refitted and before they get shipped out to the Rig.
