I have several versions of the 83 Service Manual that I have downloaded and they are all missing some common pages. Pages are only partially scanned and have large black areas on them. There are 10 pages missing or incomplete. I included page 183 below so you can see what I am referring to. Would someone that has a hard copy manual please scan these pages and send them to me. The higher the scan resolution the better. I have the software that I can replace the bad pages and I will post a complete manual. First number is chapter & page number in printed manual, followed by what appears to be detailed on that page. Number on next line is the PDF page number for reference in two different copies that I have. 2-5 - Deals with TDC mark & valves 150 3-5 - Engine removal 183 3-10 - Engine dis-assembly 188 3-52 - Right after clutch reassembly 230 3-55 - Cam chain installation 233 3-58 - Oil pipe installation 236 5-20 - Brake master cylinder 275 6-2 - Coolant replacement 316 7-27 - Brake light wiring 354 8-3 - Appendix Bulb specs 403 Gary

Is there a setting somewhere so I do not have to click on the MORE icon at the bottom of the HOME page to continue to older posts. Clicking on MORE icon gives me 5 more posts then it enables previous page selections. The home page is also formatted different than subsequent pages in center section as far as posted by column. Is there a setting to change number of threads shown on 1 page ? Gary

I only recently learned of the passing or member Ronald V. Cleveland, Canadianrider here on our site after his long batter with cancer. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all the family and friends. I have added Ronald to our memorial page. I used a picture off his personal blog page. I hope that is OK.

When a new California rider fills out the information on his... or her... info page it would great if they posted their home town. California is so long it's the equivalent of the distence between Jacksonville FL to NY City. Almost the entire eastern seaboard. Can you imagine what it would be like to put together a Meet'n'Eat if everyone on the east coast were lumped together into one catagory?? So if you're from Califirnia, how about adding your home town to your page. This goes for the old Ca members too.... Thanks.

I have completed the initial pass on the 1986-1989 model years schematics. My goal in doing this is to make them easier to read and reduce the number of pages needed to display the information. I have used color and line types to make the wiring easier to follow. In some cases I could not use the exact color that is being represented due to visibility and printing issues. For example yellow is hard to see on the screen and does not print well. I have tried to check these as thoroughly as possible. Any errors, corrections or additions that anyone has, please send to me and I will update the files. I have been assisted by fellow member Ozlander with his help checking over my work. I do not have a bike to look at to verify some of this info. I have an 1983 without Cruise or CLASS systems that varies somewhat from the 1986-1989 models. As I update these files I will increment the revision letter at the end of the file name. The files will look best when plotted at 11" x 17" size or larger. Office Max and Staples as well as others can do this for you for a minimal charge if you want a printout. I paid $1.00 for an 11" x 17" color print at Staples. There are four different PDF files for the schematics and one with some reference information from the service manual. They are not modified in any way, just as they appear in service manual.

I downloaded the 1st Gen Service Manual (8385servicemanual.pdf) and found the cam specs, page 403, missing. Does anyone know why this page is corrupt? Can someone send me this page? -
One of our very own VentureRiders made the front page. I would rather have carried on without all this BS, but the regulations being as they are, and the enforcement of them, has forced me into doing things that I would rather leave to others. Help: Can someone please me to the mixter screws on the four carbs on my 08 RSV so I can turn the screws out a 1/4 turn. I looked on tech page but can not find them. Thank you for your help in advance.

I will not be able to be there for every day of the International Rally. I would like to know which evening the meal that is included will be. That seems like one of the best chances to meet a lot of members so if I am going to go I would like to be there for that. I f there is a page with a schedule of events I have not been able to find it.

The final drive seal (Part 22 in this photo http://www.yamaha-motor.com/sport/parts/home.aspx ) is leaking. If anyone has changed this seal, I have a question. Does this seal remove/install from the outside, or do you have to remove part 19 and install it from the inside? Thanks in advance for any advice. Ronnie King EDIT: Sorry, the link will not take you directly to the correct page. I have a 1999 second gen XVZ1300, and the correct page is the one for the driveshaft.

I just bought two sets of J&M elite full-face headsets. I was going to send the to J&M to have them install them in our Shoei RF1000 helmets. Then I came across this link at Edsets web site http://picasaweb.google.com/edsetsdude/2008ShoeiRF1000. I just followed the steps and went slow. It wasn't hard but it was time consuming. The only thing I did different than what the Edset page did was I off set the mics to the left side, that's the way J&M suggests. They sound great in the garage. We didn't have time to road test them today.

Whenever I click the forums buttons, either on top or sides the page starts to load then nada. Anybody else having this problem?
