Rivco is the way to go! It does take some getting used to however. Easy to get up on the stand but if you have a "slick" garage floor like mine use a rubber mat under the stand, otherwise your bike will just slide.

I have a V-Star 1100 that I'm thinking of replacing with a Strat or Road too. After riding my Royal going back and riding the v-star doesn't cut the mustard anymore... I need more muscle! -
Hang in there, BE STRONG! Don't let the cravings get to you. BTW are you quitting "cold turkey"? If so, that's tough. Try those nicotine patches, they worked great for me. I smoked for about 20 years, quit Sept. 5, 2002 the first attempt. You won't believe how much better and easier everything will be a year from now.

I didn't have to, the chrome peeled right off long before. I only sanded 'em to remove nicks and make 'em smooth. If you're thinking of trying it, I don't think you'll be dissapointed.

A can of flat black bbq grill touch up paint will work just as well and is only about 8 bucks.
