So whats so complicated, I put Vogel together with a little input from my wife, I design the shirts, the patches, call the hotel/motels set up the catering and then couple of local members help me and the wife decide on which t shirt and patch design is good, once we get to Vogel is when volunteers step up to help with registrations and the like, thats where I need it the most. Who needs a committee...........:stirthepot:

The time is drawing near for our annual St. Jude/Mean Dog Memorial ride to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tn. The date is Oct. 1, 2011. We will be meeting at the Flying J Truck Stop in W. Memphis, Ark. Time to meet there will be 11:00-11:30 am for lunch, then head over to St. Jude for 1:00 pm to tour the hospital. If you haven't been to St. Jude you are in store for a moving experience. I never tire of seeing that facility and it really brings on a range of emotion that I can't overcome. They do fantastic work there in helping these sick kids that are suffering from cancer and associated diseases. I will probably still have some Vogel shirts left along with patches and Cruisin for the Kids support bracelets, that I will gladly pass out for those who want to make a small donation. And remember we will be meeting up with the North Alabama Road Riders, who by the way have challenged us in the fundraising effort, so we can't let a small group of riders from Alabama beat us. At this time I am not ready to make known our total for St. Jude, but I will say this, we have surpassed last years total and are now headed for a new high total.....:clap2:............Looking forwad to seeing everyone there. I have small thru XXXL...dont have a lot of large, but have quite a few of the others. I will post when I run out of a certian size.

I finally got the LED's installed on my V Star. They were given to me at Vogel by Infonaut, aks Peter Harris from Philadelphia, Pa. Peter is going to be making up sets for bikes and hopefully selling them, and has also expressed interest in doing a maintaince day for LED's here in Newnan. If you contact him I am sure he can help you out big time. He gave me enough to do over my engine and then some but I only had enough connectors to do on length. That will likely change in the future as soon as I can buy some more. I posted some pics here and a short vid of them in action. These suckers are bring so good thing there is a dimmer on the remote.

As long as they don't have more belts than you, you can fight them off since your so proficient in so many defense's and make sure they wear those gloves they stole from Dan................

The auctions are posted and I still have some items to auction to raise more funds for the kids at St. Jude. There are Vogel & St. Jude t-shirts, patches, show your support bracelets, and whatever I can dig up that some may find a need or want for. They are posted in the St. Jude Auction section that Don has set up to replace the classified section. The auctions will last 1 week, and I will accept paypal and personal checks. Hopefully we will be able to outdo the NARR in the fundraising challenge, we have a good start with what was raised at Vogel. I like Sleeperhawk was hoping that unruly Canuck would surprise us with a visit, but we had to settle on a couple of Aussies from down under. Hoping your health improves and maybe see you again. This place is like the Mafia, once your in, you cant get out...........so there.

Thanks so much in being there for Tom, its really amazing how God puts people in places they never thought they would be, had you not found VentureRider, and come to Vogel, Tom would not have had an angel by his side when he most needed it. Thanks again Tricia. -
I tried calling this morning to see how they fared, but got voicemail on both phones, glad they are ok, knowing muffin isnt going to leave all his bikes behind unless they tie him up and cart him and mini out,,,,of course they dont know about mini's arsenal..........I sure wouldnt want to face off with her.....:starz:

A small group of us (10) went white water rafting on Thursday while others went riding to various places......I think we had the best time, we laughed the whole time. Next Vogel we will be going again, it was the best time I have had in a long, long time. I think the pictures speak for themselves......... Jamie and Dana rode the bull over the falls, normally only one person rides the bull, but VR members aren't normal by any stretch of the imagination.......:rotfl:

When I received a pm saying Annie and Quicksktep were coming to Vogel I was floored, they have traveled all over the US, and now they were going to be at Vogel. I couldnt wait for them to arrive. Vogel was again an international event, there have always been some Canucks at Vogel, but never anyone from so far away. I do believe that having them there made it very special for all the other attendee's. They fit right in with the crazy bunch of people that attend all the VR events. Thank you Annie and Alan for coming to Vogel, you made the event despite having your HD catch on fire!!! Have a safe trip back down under, and hope to see you guys again soon.
