    Got 3 of my biggest problems out of the way preparing for Vogel. The t-shirts are ordered, the patches are ordered, and Saturday's meal is ordered. If you're interested here is the menu for the Saturday meal. It is being catered by Shane's Rib Shack. Pulled Pork, Potato Salad, Brunswick Stew, Buns for sandwiches, sweet tea, unsweetened tea, lemonade, and for desert, Apple cobbler, Peach Cobbler, and Banana pudding. :banana: The only contact I still have to make is to contact the rafting co. and see what kind of group rate we can get. Thats all for now, still waiting on some of the giveaways to arrive, hope they get here on time.

    Its one of a hell of a good time, but I may be a little biased about it, since it was my brainchild and I labor over it like a mother hen..........You will meet many new friends and have a ball. There are characters, and then there are real characters............wont mention Eck, or 86er or Yammer Dan..............wouldnt want to hurt their feelings.

    Well after 4 major surgeries and 5 years since Charlene has been on the back of a motorcycle to take a ride, she finally did it today. She decided to take a short ride to see how well she could tolerate the ride and she did well, we did about 30 miles on the V Star and she got a little numbbutt, but wasnt to bad, so she may do some riding at Vogel.

    Most are staying at the Best Western in Blairsville, just tell them your a Venturerider and you get a reduced rate!!!!!

    If you haven't mailed your registration or bought your raffle tickets yet, I will be closing early registration and raffle ticket sales by mail on 7/29/11, so if you haven't mailed it or ordered your tickets by then please wait and do it when you arrive, I dont want people showing up and I dont have their registration in hand. If you plan on coming and arent sure till the last minute it would be a great help if you could drop me a pm or post a reply on this post that you are coming, I dont want to be caught short on food, I havent in the past and I dont want to this time either. I normally prepare for aprox 100 people and order food for that amount, but I have a feeling this time it could go higher than that, and I dont want to have to ration the food, everyone knows how VR members like to eat:doh:!!! Also plese remember that if you order your raffle tickets via PayPal, please do not mention Raffle ticket, mark it as a donation for Vogel. Looking forward to seeing all my old VR friends and lots of new faces this year, who knows, this may me my last Vogel........:crying: And lest I forget there are only 24 Days left till Vogel!!!!
