  2. Bikebandit.com has all the radio panels cheaper than the stealers, dont ask me how I know, but I do, several times over...........and hold out for more cash, get an estimate from a repair shop with labor and present that to him...............dont let them screw you over...................they make tons of money off the insurance they sell..............by the way very nice bike.......its a keeper. http://www.bikebandit.com
  3. Tom, we were just down there before Thanksgiving, most of the interstates have been resurfaced........I-12 is much better than it was when we lived down there, I-10 is better in some spots, but with the type of ground the have in south La......the roads just dont last as long there as elsewhere..........I would use 12 if you dont need to pass through NO..............Merry Christmas.
  4. Before Charlene and I started doing Vogel for Ventureriders, we didnt do much for any chairity, except for United Way, and that was just about the extent of it with the exception of the occasional donation to a phone chairty. But then with the funds we raised for St. Jude we started mailing the donations in and that was it, then after Vogel III,we decided that we needed to make a ride to Memphis and do the donation in person, and it finally hit me when I walked into St. Jude hospital and then this year at the Ronald McDonald House, that this is what I wanted to do, and that is make a difference for some sick kids that needed all the help that they could get, then I got involved with Angel Tree here in Newnan and we started distributing toys to the children of prison inmates, then this year we started doing the same for some kids from our own church that werent going to have much of a Christmas, and seeing the smiles on the kids faces was the biggest thanks I could receive. Making a child smile no matter what the circumstances is all the thanks I need, and I am dedicating all my efforts to do this as long as I am able...... Like I said............Its all about the kids!!!!!!!!! If you ever get a chance to participate in an event like this in your area, take some time to make a child smile, your life will never be the same. I will get off my soapbox now...............
  5. tToday our motorcycle ministry had our annual Christmas Ride for Kids. We bought and delivered gifts to kids who werent going to be fortunate enough to have a good holiday. These kids eyes lite up like you wouldn't believe. There was one little boy who had just had his leg amputated several weeks ago and bringing Christmas to him was truly inspiring, and seeing him tear into the gifts brought a tear to everyones eyes. I have posted a few pics of the kids. This is what Christmas special for me.......making some kids smile. This is an article that appeared in our local Newnan newspaper, that tells a little more of the story..........we had 19 bikes with elves riding plus 3 suv's and vans with all the gifts. A motorcycle club affiliated with Community Christian Church of Sharpsburg will brighten the lives of many Coweta families this year. In past years, the motorcycle club's Christmas Elf Riders have surprised 10 or 12 needy children with toys for Christmas. This holiday season, however, the riders went above and beyond. Jenny Baker, director of Connection Ministries at Community Christian Church, was amazed by what she saw. "Not only have the riders and their families stepped up to sponsor a child or two," says Baker, "but many have gone to their employers and asked for help. Thanks to the generosity of several companies, more than $2,000 in corporate sponsorship has been donated to CCR to help with this cause." Today at 10:30 a.m., the Christmas Elf Riders will gather on their bikes in the parking lot of Community Christian Church. They will be joined by "sleighs" -- vans filled with toys and other goodies, and will head out to distribute the gifts to the community. Because of the generous corporate donations, the motorcycle Santas will also surprise families with paid utility bills and gift certificates for food, gas and groceries. A few of the neediest families will also have their rent paid for the month.

  11. I do believe someone on this site has a fast silver one for sale really reasonable.........why visit the dealer, its an 08 barley broken in and the guy takes the upmost care of his rides.......sadly he just cant make up his mind whether he wants a 1st gen or a 2nd gen so why not take the 08 off his hands so he can get back on his favorite ride and everyone will be happy..............:stirthepot:

  17. That you guys and gals are going to do your best to keep if from me for as long as you can, I bet that gift will rack up more miles before I get it than I do...............In fact I am sure of it...........
  18. You guys are too :stickpoke:much, I dont think George didnt want the responsibility,,,,,I think he just wanted to keep me waiting longer because I was supposed to be at the N. Ga. meet next weekend, so he passed on it to keep it traveling..........I know how you guys think and just so you know, I will not be there next week as our motorcycle ministry is having our Angel Tree ride next Sat. to deliver gifts to underpriviliged kids, so that takes precedent over the meet and eat, the kids come first, so I would not have been there to claim it. So it might be at Vogel, or MD, or WVSI before I see it. Just be sure to take care of it........ So to the "Caretaker of the Gift" dont use it all up, or wear it out, or get it dirty, maybe I should take out some insurance on it.......
