  1. Never use starter fluid to check for spark or fuel problems. it will do nasty things to your motor.
  2. Stupid rednecks...everybody knows Assholistan extends all the way to Washington.
  3. When you pull the rear wheel to change tires, make sure you grease the gears, drive shaft and those finger thingies with moly grease. There are some great instructions here in the tech section. Someone else here can fill you in on this better then me.
  4. Welcome to the funny farm. As someone has said, there are many tires that work great on these bikes. I have Dunlop 404 ww on mine the work well but not great. With only 9000 miles on an 08 you should run a couple tanks of seafoam to clean out the fuel system. Might not be a bad idea to change brake and clutch fluids, also coolent.
  5. I like being able to bling my bikes. If you buy the top end model spyder there's not much more you can do to them. Once you've seen one you've seen them all.
  6. Silver is a great color and it's fast:innocent:

Yeh but chrome makes it FAST!
  15. I like the fact that this is more then just another motorcycle forum. Its great that people can feel comfortable enough to say what ever is on they're mind. But it is also important to remember that there are other people here that may not see things the same way. Remember, words can be used as a weapon. a little common sense goes a long way. Now lets all have a group hugh.
  16. HOLY COW! I barfed just looking at the pictures:yikes:
  17. Wait till it's a classic and sell it for lots of money. Unlike the 1st gen that will be shreaded and made into plastic coat hangers:rotfl:
  18. Sounds like my story. I started 4 years ago with a Vulcan 900lt.The next year my wife started riding with me. we figured out real fast the 900 wasn't big enough, then Two years ago i picked up my 99 rsv. It was love at first ride, but it was very heavy for me to hold up with the two of us on it. So last year we fixed that problem by buying a 99 rsv trike. yeh, I'm not right in the head, but we're having more fun then we have in years.
  19. Maybe the other way around. 2nd gens built solid with mostly metal, built to last. 1st gens built with plastic, made to recycle.
  20. What the heck does first gen or second gen have to do with this??????
  21. Hi Pete, And welcome. You will not find a better place for info and friendship then right here. P.S, I sent you a pm.
  22. I believe I found a cheap way to go with this. I found a set of Barons risers on ebay. Opening bid was $14.95, so what the heck I placed a bid. Bidding ended last night, I won with my opening bid. $14.95 plus shipping. Can't beat that.
  23. HEY! I resemble that remark.
  24. Here is the risers I'm talking about. The price tag is $179.00 I don't think their is enough clearence between the fairing and the tank cover for these to work. Just woundering if anyone has given the a try?
  25. OK I'll bite, why are they wieghted?
