    You are correct about the kissing couple Looking at the ebay postings, this matches both in style and mechanics. A closer look at it reveals that it was glued to the base it now sits on. Thanks Don

    I have a few items from my fathers estate that I'm having trouble identifying. None of these items have any type of identifying markings on them. I remember seeing these in my grandmothers home when I was a young child. The 2 smaller figurines appear to be some type of resin cast. The double headed one is hand carved wood with a lever that raises and turns the heads as if they are kissing. I would classify it as Black folk art or Black Slavery Americana. Any help with info or points of reference would be great.

    That is not entirely true. There is a metal liner, but it does not run the full length of the manifold, 1/3rd on each end has the liner, the center 3rd is unlined to isolate any vibration, so it is possible for a leak to develop, but not likely. I had deep cracks and when I changed them out I cut one of them in half, none were all the way through. I have pics somewhere, when i find them I'll post them.

    Can't help with antique parts, but you may want to replace the master cylinder with a good one, you don't want to ruin the replacements when the superglue decides to let go.

    I hope you have hired some armed escorts thru some of the lawless areas you'll be traveling. My cousin and a buddy drove to Rio for the festival and those escorts saved their hide a few times.     Be prepared for this fool to come back, he may be blowing smoke but you never know with all the lunatic's running around now days. If your wife is up to it I'd have her keep a firearm handy while at work for a week or so. Glad you were able to control the situation. Only once did I think I may need to use deadly force, I was prepared but the guy thought better and moved on.

    Unless you are retired and wealthy you'll never be able to make most of the missions, so don't beat your self up for that. Do as many as your schedule and bank acct. will allow. Congrats on becoming a PGR member. As heart wrenching as it sometimes is, you'll always leave knowing you made a difference to the families you're supporting.

    A helmet mount probably wouldn't work for me then, I tend to take in all the scenery around me, always looking at something. I'll most likely use one of the snagglebolts for rear facing shots and a ram mount for forward shots. I'm going to get a few extra batteries too. Any suggestions on an inexpensive seller ?

    Funny you should say that, that was the first thing we said when I opened it. How and where do you mount the camera ? A few pictures would be helpful. This one came with a 16 GB card also.

    Can't yet, the gopro web support page is down right now , can't get the manual or update for the wifi so I can control it with my android phone I hope the Camera works better than their web site !
