I had to return mine. and went with custom dynamics , nice heavy wire on them as well. Those look really sharp tough. Mine were from a different company. and one of the strips the wire had fallen out cuz it was so thin. I hope they stay together for you! you did a great job on placing them and I love the color! Jeff

Cougar's DIY with the Custom Dynamic's LED's
Cougar replied to Cougar's topic in Poor Man Tips and Fixes
You do not need passing lights to do this project. you can do it on the stock as well. BUT your drilling of the hole will be in a different location. See the Kent's DIY that I had posted. click on the docDownload````.pdf http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=45100 -
Cougar's DIY with the Custom Dynamic's LED's

http://www.guitarnucleus.com/gnstore/ampparts.html Scroll Down. AMP JEWELS/LAMPS Jewel's are $2.99 each, But the shipping was $7.95. they were fast though. -
Here are a couple of pics with an AMBER Crystal on the rear of the blinker housing with a Amber LED on it's own stuck into it. wired off the Custom Dynamics Led Cluster. I had all this attached to a 12 volt power source in my den with an extra blinker housing that I had to experiment with. and to show better pictures of it turned on. SUPER BRIGHT. I used the advice from human4m on the other project I was working on and he suggested to use FENDER JEWEL's for an amp , the cost was $2.99 each. and about the same size as the red one's from Radio Shack. And no my belly is not that large , it is the reflection off the rounded domed chrome housing it does look like a huge beer belly though. Here is the Original Link for the Radio Shack Mod. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=45100 NOTE: I did use the black threaded ring off the Radio Shack light, and had to enlarge the hole I already had just a small amount. Yep , ME TOO! I have given up Heli's a while back. did that for 15 years. I am sticking with my large scale RC Planes. Still in the stable is a - One 120 size GeeBee with a OS 120 II F/S Engine - Two 40 size Goldberg Cubs with OS 70 F/S Engine (one for float flying) - One 30 size Cub with OS 30 F/S engine - One 40 size Kougar with ringed OS 45 size engine (does about 90 mph) I am keeping my stable with those amounts of planes from now on. the 30 size i can pack up in my bike trailer and still go for a bike ride at the same time And of course my couple of Futaba Radios. and all digital servos. I plane in going forward with more model projects after all the bike winter projects are almost done. I also had a hobby zone cub , but just gave it to the my daughters boy friend down the street for a xmas present.. he seems to love planes and maybe we can fly together one day. I never will give this hobby up. Patrick, I would highly recommend the Tower Hobbies flight Simulator. You can brake your plane as much as you want. nitro to me is a lot easier then electrics to fly. not sure why though. I think maybe there to light for me? dunno. I have been into this hobby for around 30 years now and I still use the sim to keep me on my toe's during the winter. I also was at one time hating to build planes, now I enjoy it. it also gives you some idea on how the plane is made. and you can tweak stuff yourself. But I still from time to time pick up ARF planes. MkII Trainer will be perfect for you Jeff
