  2. I'd be glad to give you some input, but right now, it's the best I've seen it in days. Thanks Don, Steve
  3. Hey Ron, I've never heard any reviews of the maxxis either. Can't believe I survived the first 30 years of riding withoug the Internet. Steve
  4. Back at ya on that one Don. Quite a roller coaster ride-----They are always exciting right? Thanks, Steve
  5. Site seems slow today and sometimes I gettin a blank page. Think they may still have issues. I was going to say the same thing. As far as donating, I belong to both venture sites and pay at one and donate at the other. I have always supported user fees-----It only seems fair. Steve
  6. Hey rattlesnake, I'm thinking that you need some cheese with that whine.:fiddle: You aren't gonna get much sympathy from us guys up north who put their bikes away for months at a time, but then again, you miss out on all of the good ice fishing. Enjoy your time off. Eat lots of lobsters. Steve
  7. Hey Rick, I've got the fishing gear thing covered. In fact when I get my new bike, it will have two rod holders and a rack for my cooler and tackle. A man's gotta have his priorities. I'll post a pic when it happens. Steve
  8. Hey Stoutman, The RSTD looks real good all packed up for a trip. Here is my 86VR packed for a trip. Nothing fancy about my bags though:whistling: I bought a pack of those huge zip lock bags to haul home some big salmon home that I caught last year, and found that they will hold a sleeping bag--BIG! Now I keep a couple in the bags just in case. Steve
  9. Hi Orrin, Hey, it's always a better ride when I'm not going to work. Did you make it to the Slimey Crud Run on Sun? Couple thousand bikes for sure. Everythingunder the sun, EXCEPT a VENTURE:confused24: Well, there was one exception: the BEAST was there, and looking GREAT!!!!!!! Steve
  10. Richb, Those racks are off of a big Kawasaki something or other. Steve
  11. Hey Roadkill, I'm not planning on doing that:no-no-no: BuddyRich, Love your blue LED's------My 05 RSTD's engine is lit up with RED LED's Pretty cool at night. Steve
  12. After reading how all of these 1st gens are being bought and lots of $ and tiime spent to make them nice again, I had decided to keep my 86 VR, but after spending some time on my new (to me) 05 RSTD, there is no way I will use the VR. That RSTD is waaaay to much fun to ride. So the 86 is in the classifieds again. I had pulled my ad, licensed, and insured it fully planning on keeping it, but It's gonna go. In fact, I was gonna send the VR seat out to buttbutler to do his thing on, but instead, today sent the studded mustang seat out for him to do his thing. I just put it in the classifieds. (deep breath here) BTW, here is the reason that I'm selling. Steve
  13. I just bought what you are looking for last week at the harley shop. They're right around $40. Lots of folks have them, (as you will no doubt find out) Steve
  14. "forced to go outside and "admire it" Are you kidding me? man you should go out and ride that thing, but hang on:080402gudl_prv: Steve
  15. I usually go over to the left to simple search. I tried some very generic words, like brakes, RSTD, and I think a couple others and got nothing. In the past, I have commented to you that the search funtion was outstanding. I am sure that in setting up the new thing that you are doing there will be things that need tweeking. Thanks again, Steve
  16. Don, search does not seem to be working. I know-tomorrow, you've done enough for one day. Thanks, Steve
  17. I noticed, and I also appreciate all the work you put into keeping it going and making it better. Steve
  18. Hey, that's cool Orrin. you'll have to stop by on it some time. Hollar real loud when you arrive, I sure won't hear you comming. Steve

  21. I was riding my RSV listening to my radio That's when your problem started. I've never had a harley owner ask why I don't ride a harley. I think you guys are making this stuff up. Steve
  22. Good Job Beer:happy65: Definately owe you a beer for getting rid of that little lizard:beer: Steve
  23. I bought Maxxis Classics for the WWW. I have Avons on my 86VR, but when I went shopping last fall for some WWW for my 05 RSTD, I couldn't find the rear in the correct size, so went with the Maxxis Classics MT90-16H front and 150-15H rear, WWW I have no complaints. Steve
  24. I really regret not taking the needles to work and taking a pic with the microsope this spring. ror you all to see what this stuff does. You would all be very shocked what this stuff does to your needles. White mountainous build up, but I didn't so don't really expect you to understand. I am really bummed that in my town the only station that had gas without ethenal now has it.:(:( Fully expect to be taking my carbs apart more often now. I am not happy:(:( Steve
  25. I've been gonna say something about lodging but not quite sure what I want to do. I have a room at the Oberlin, that's me and just me, so if someone wants to share, that would be OK with me. Two doubles as I recall If it was one queen, I'd be a bit more picky:rotf: I'll be in on Fri eve. Steve
