  1. I haven't even met you Kit and I would say that your correct about the Microwaves But I can't talk too loud either
  2. I see some of the ususal suspects, sure wish I could have put 240 miles on today M&E are always fun and you southern folks do know how to have a good time. I do believe I think I saw Gray Ghost in there some where as well as Eck and 86er and of course Blackjack....keep them pics coming
  3. I know you were Mini...but I have to stir the pot a bit so you dont think I'm totally off here
  4. Russ, As much as I appreciate your pure heart (No really I do) I have to stay on my toes now more than ever. I also appreciate you search efforts on ebay as I too saw that '99 fix-r-upper.....but there will be no more '99 parked in my garage that are mine. (Had to clarify that so Brad T and Hal didn't think I wouldn't let them park their '99's in there)
  5. Dont you be teasing us northern folks with those pics!!! You could get banned for life for doing something like that
  6. 15 Minutes of fame...so I'm gonna die from cancer from riding my bike, thats if I dont crash again and kill myself beforehand
  7. Mini... It's like swimming with sharks or wild animals, never show fear and never give them any blood
  8. Kit, Just remember to run it through a relay, thats the only way I run any added electrical components.
  9. Thats a drag, I've heard some good things about them
  10. No thanks Russ, I do have one already...and the 1st gen manuals, as I have spent way more time repairing them than my G2's BTW Charlie...I did use some of that on your 1st gen year before last :rotf:
  11. Thanks for the heads up Steve, unfortunately I'm running out of room on my vest
  12. Bob, NO, you'll still want to balance the tire. What your doing when you balance a tire is your balancing it to the rim. There is almost always a heavy spot on a tire from it's construction and your just making that even on the rim, which is a constant. Balance the tire and install the Ride On if you wish. I used it in my last set of Avons and it isn't a mess to clean like fix a flat. It actually does what it claims as i ran a screw through my rear tire before I was going to change it out and it held the same air for 3 week.
  13. Thanks Keith, Were holding our own right now If you have problems finding it let me know and I'll get a tube of it and get it to you
  14. THANKS BUDDY!!
  15. Good one....but your probably not far from the truth
  16. Thanks Dan, If I do end up with another 1st gen it will be a 1300 as it's better for touring with the bigger bags Thank you for searching for me though
  17. Rick, I would be more than happy for you folks to Poke around if you would like to do that. I know there is an '02 in Edmonton for sale, but it's way over priced. I might have a line on one as we speak, but the Titanium and Platnum will be the next G2 in the garage....unless someone just gives me one
  18. Rick, I really dont know as it happened so fast. I know that we were going about 70 or so when the tire blew. I would like to think since I went into automatic trying to save it that I got out of the throttle and slowed down a bit. It was a hell of a ride, I can assure you of that Randy, I do have the bell and will be putting it on the next scoot, I do like the idea of having it in the car though
  19. I can see that there will be many of you that will be "helping me" find the new scoot....this should be interesting to say the least
  20. WOW! Joe It's brutally honest...but is the truth Dano, My next G2 will be an '02 Titanium and Platnum, I have loved that bike since I saw one at the 1st Pork in the pines at GrandpaGAK's. Thank you for looking for me though
  21. I want to be independently rich so we can come
  22. Keith, I had been using a synthetic blend by valvoline with Moly, but it still seemed to run out of the hub assy and onto the rim as I was always cleaning it when I washed my bike. Before Lonna and I did our trip down south over Christmas (the one where we crashed on the bike) I took the rear tire apart and used Royal purple grease. I have to tell you this stuff is sticky like molassas and we had about 1200 miles on it before the accident and it doesn't seem to have leaked off. We use this stuff in bearing at the power plant and it is amazing, I would suggest trying that as it will be all I use on the rearend from now on
  23. Steve, Quite a story there my friend! kinda tops Lonna and my crash as we didn't have our skull pulled apart I'm glad that they found the cause and you can get on with your recovery. Were still doing baby steps with ours, but very grateful to be alive. We have to get healed up and do the victory lap somewhere in celebration of getting another chance. Be safe and we too send back the prayers for you bro
  24. Not a dumb question at all, here are some of the differences The Royale model came with most if not all of the following, factory CB with AM/FM cassette, The class electronic air suspension system, Cruise control...I think that was about it. Other than those few extras, the bikes are identical to eachother. If I have forgotten anything the 1st genners will chime in and let me know what I forgot. Always remember, there are no dumb questions here except for the ones you dont ask. If you have problems navigating the site feel free to PM myself or any of the other Moderators and we'll get you steered in the right direction
