  1. I also have 2 pairs of boots, so that I can swap them out every day. This gives them a chance to dry out and breathe a little.
  2. Congrats!! We'll be married 24 years in March. I may even keep her a few more years, if she behaves.
  3. It's true. The Army way....pee on your feet. I use athlete's foot spray, as my feet sweat very badly too.
  4. 11 years in the fire service here. If I can help, let me know. Hopefully, they will send you to fire academy, for your own safety. Don't make the mistake many of us did in our younger years....wear an airpack, even if you can see thru the smoke. EDIT: I read it again, and see that you are on the board, not a firefighter. Remember, good equipment saves lives. Fight for proper equipment, and hopefully they have a good grant writer. We got a lot of good stuff from Homeland Security grants. Fight for proper training too. Some Departments only use OJT training, which is ok, but not really sufficient.
  5. Too cold right now Annie!! 22 degrees F this morning. Work parking lot is a complete sheet of ice.
  6. Download www.hyperfighter.sk. Install it, and then follow the instructions. The game is know in the lobby as "forgotten battles", instead of 1946. You will see several hundred people online.
  7. SilvrT, are you flying online? If so, what is your name on Hyperlobby? I am currently going by Monterey. You will usually see me flying coops. Once we see each other the first time in Hyperlobby, we can add each other as friends, then we will always see when one another are online. Look forward to flying with you.
  8. The solution is pulled into the opening, and seems to hang there for a second, allowing the engine to smooth out for a bit. It's a great way to find leaks.
  9. WD-40 is very flammable. You can use it as a starting fluid. I've used it all my life. Soapy water in a spray bottle is best for finding vacuum leaks.
  10. Good to hear!!
  11. Just checking to see how you made out. Get it fixed?
  12. Out of all the gifts, my favorite was having both of our boys home safe with us... http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i274/13thAFMonterey/IMG_0320.jpg For me, there is something about Christmas that I miss, so it's just not the same anymore. It will return when I have Grandchildren, as what I miss the most, is seeing the little ones waiting in anticipation, and seeing the joy on their faces on Christmas morning. I look forward to the time when my Grandchildren come. (no hurry right now, though...lol).
  13. Merry Christmas!!!
  14. New sneakers, Levi's, metric and standard ball allen wrenches, money, fifth of Crown and a 2 liter of Coke.
  15. Auto Zone has a loan-a-tool program. You just have to lay down a deposit, and you get it back when you return the tools. They have almost everything a person could need. I think there is an Auto Zone over by Rivergate on Gallatin Road.
  16. That is sooo cool!!! I'm gonna have some fun with this.
  17. I didn't have to trim mine at all. It's a snug fit, but it'll work if you lay it in just the right spot. It's a good Idea to silicone around the cover of the TCI to keep the water out.
  18. I highly doubt it was a missile gone astray, as I have seen some of those, and when they start spiraling, they tend to work their way toward the outside in much larger strokes, and they aren't that pretty. They don't make nice tight pretty circles like that. Scary as hell too, as you don't know if it's gonna come back toward you or not.
  19. Congratulations!!!:dancefool:
  20. Isn't it obvious that someone was projecting it up from behind that ridge? Come on, now.
  21. The fountain of youth...lol!!! http://www.flixxy.com/evian-roller-babies.htm
  22. A true Hero....Salute!!! "Van Barfoot is presented with the Congressional Medal of Honor for valorous actions during World War II. Barfoot showed his mettle in Carano, Italy, where he single-handedly destroyed a set of German machine gun nests, killed eight enemy soldiers, took 17 prisoners and stared down a tank before destroying it and killing its crew — all in a single day. Exhausted by his herculean efforts, he still managed to move two of his wounded men 1,700 yards to safety."
  23. Any small block Chevy should bolt right up...305, 307, 327, 350, 400SM. block. I would stick with a 350 if you find one. They are cheap also. Chevy 350s are the cheapest engines that there are to build.
  24. Monty

    Ft Sill

It was really cold in Oklahoma too. Yes, they will both do their AIT in Ft Leonard Wood for Combat Enginner Training. I know what you mean about the surrounding areas. I was born on post there, and I have been back there for training also.
  25. R.I.P. Sad to hear him go.
