  1. If you’re mechanically inclined and can weld, you can adapt this center stand to the Venture. Both the Vulcan and the Venture have tabs on the frame to attach a center stand. The only difference is the Venture’s tabs are narrower than the Vulcan’s tabs. Here’s a link with plans. http://www.gadgetjq.com/v-lift.htm
  2. Thanks. I'll look into those.
  3. Actually, they make a headset that's very good. But they are a little pricey. http://www.sierra-mc.com/products.asp?cat=313
  4. Why didn't you listen to your music through your head set?
  5. I was also thinking about something like that but didn't know that anyone made such a thing. Though I might have to make my own.
  6. I really need to do something about the constant engine/pipe noise when I'm riding with my wife. I've seen posts about both quiet mics and mic-mutes. Is one better that the other? Is there a preference here to one over the other. Thanks.
  7. You should give Lone Eagle a PM. He might still have his.
  8. My I suggest J&M products. They are most likely going to be more expensive but they work well. I ride with the Star 186 group and a quite a few of our group have the J&M CB, intercom, Aux amp set up. I haven't heard any complaints from anyone.
  9. Does this amp also amplify the intercom and CB or just the stereo?
  10. I have a mustang on my M95 but can't imagine replacing the seat on the Venture. It's the most comfortable motorcycle seat I've ever ridden on.
  11. Time to get the lemon law working for you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
  12. I just sent you a payment for two second generation pins. Thanks Rich (Uechi Kid)
  13. Here is a list of star groups in Texas. http://www.startouring.org/chapterlist.aspx?id=TX
  14. I have a Scorpio alarm on my M95 with all the goodies. I think it's a great alarm but it is expensive. I will be adding on to the Venture this winter.
  15. The factory sells three different size windshields. http://www.starmotorcycles.com/star/accessories/acscitemdetail/5/4/83/408/all/1/134/0/detail.aspx
  16. What did you pack them with?? And did you just fill the opening in the baffle??
  17. I have read that some people use silicon to seal the header and the and the muffler. Is that something that is recomended?
  18. Well I just got my new Barron slip on mufflers yesterday. I was wondering if there is anything I need to watch out for or is it very straight forward. Oh yeah, do I need to remove the saddle bags or can they be installed with them on. Thanks Rich
  19. I have an opportunity tomorrow to do an all day training session with the Alameda County Sheriff’s Department. I’m really looking forward to it. I’m hoping that they will cover some of the thing in the Ride Like A Pro video.
  20. Maybe in addition to.
  21. I have a scorpio alarm on one of my bikes. It works well. I'm going to put one on the Venture very soon.
  22. Today was the first time I've had to ride with the new headset. All I can say is WOW. The sound great and are very easy to controll. Every time I ride this bike I'm more happy that we bought the RSV.
  23. Just playing around with them yesterday I did notice that I had to turn the headset volume up a little more than the speakers but not too much with the radio from 17 to 20. With my MP3 player I had to turn the headsets volume way up at first. Then I turned the MP3 player volume all the way up and was able to turn the headset volume back down to where the radio is.
  24. I have the same issue with my MP3 player. I have to turn the volume on the player all the way up, then it is almost the same as the radio. I can listen to it at 18-19.
