  1. I've never been on a poker run where every bike left the starting gate at the same time, that takes some of the fun out of it. I always enjoyed figuring out the route and having a nice leisurely ride. Sorry to hear about your friend -
  2. Back atcha Big Tom and Happy Easter to all
  3. I would guess that the dealer is hedging his bets - diversification is one major key to success in todays retail world.
  4. we have had 'macs' for years, presently we have a Mac Pro desk top and a MacBook Pro laptop. I recently bought a Dell 15" laptop w/W7 and had a dickens of of time adjusting from XP. I had the MacBook Pro partitioned with XP on it for work -
  5. that's pretty neat - how much does it weigh ? bounce ?
  6. OK - I'll give it another try - Is there any interest AT ALL for sugar free ice cream @ MD ?
  7. I had "stuff" to do today - I guess I can do it later, much later Thanks SilvrT
  8. I totally like the fact that the I-Pilot will retrace your route if you tell it to.
  9. Does anybody have the I-Pilot on their trolling motor ? I just bought a CoPilot but am seriously considering an I-Pilot for the extra features. Anybody have any experience with one ?
  10. You Betcha !! Did you read the article ??
  11. There were a couple questions about having sugar free ice cream at MD - I asked Keith Schlonager, my supplier about sugar free, this was his response: Yes we do. We make it with the Agave nectar. There has been some questions about this agave, but we have been selling it for about 4 years and no one has come back and said it raised their sugar. We have had some people test their sugar and found after 2 hours no increase in their sugar levels. It does seem to make the ice cream a bit more harder and a bit icy though. Please do your research on it, it's your decision. If the diabetics agree that this is a product that can be used then I will order a container and most likely it will be Vanilla. Please keep your responses limited to what you actually prefer, not what you think Big Tom will consume I found this link about Agave Nectar http://www.allaboutagave.com/
  12. Squidley is RIGHT !! We all go thru this at one time or another and the only REAL solution is to step back, take a deep breath, post guards to keep the warden at bay and get on the net and BUY BUY and just keep BUYING 'til you get caught or max out the card. Good Luck !!
  13. I came into a full case of Honda 1500 'factory' filters. They work just fine and as some of you know I was changing filters & oil once a month for a complete riding season. got pretty expensive -
  14. VERY nice - waaaaaay beyond my mechanical talents.
  15. I like the looks of many bikes out there but have no desire to switch from my Venture. XM radio takes care of the music and the bike fits - don't need anything else
  16. I use scales to weigh my pencil - just to see how much lead I have left
  17. That sounds like a GREAT trip !! you're gonna have to erase some memory before you leave because you surely won't have enough space in yer noggin for all the beautiful sights you'll encounter. Most importantly - Be safe
  18. all this talk about eating has spiked my appetite - where did I put that ice cream
  19. Don - I think it's just fine - when it first showed up, I thought I was in trouble again especially after getting a light spanking for my gibberish about 'you know what' that is now in the classifieds. I think a notification is just great - some people need a nudge to spend some money and a notice of something new is a GOOD thing.
  20. I just re-read your post - The catalytic converter may require some jetting work to you Venture. I know it will have SOME effect, I just don't know what
  21. I put them on my 2007 Venture and I remember having to help them a little. Did you clean the receiving end on your exhaust ? There's not a lot of free play and just a little rust/build up can really hinder the sliding. If the RK's have an indentation from a previous clamp, that could be part of, if not all of your problem.
  22. I've never used one of those butt I do have one of these [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pOBvasLWmlA]YouTube - Demo of the Rampage Power Lift for Motorcycles[/ame]
  23. When disc brakes first came out the wheels had to be torqued or you could possibly warp the rotors. That's what I was told back then and I'm sticking to it. Don't know about the newer cars as I haven't seen a torque wrench on a wheel for years. It sounds like the rotor is warped and yes they can be turned , usually ONCE as there isn't too much material in them anymore. However, new rotors have become VERY inexpensive so it might be as easy to replace as to turn them down. jmho
