  1. The "Best" oil for my bike is the one that makes me the most comfortable. Right now I use Yamaha's new 15-50 synthetic. Why? Well, because, of course.
  2. I don't know how long they'll actually last. I really just know I want one. Soon. (Almost 38k miles.) There are two. PCW racing, and Barnett. The Barnett is about $100 more than the PCW. The Barnett is coil spring, the PCW is diaphragm. Most folks seem to be using the PCW. I haven't heard anything bad about either one.
  3. I'm glad it finally worked. Pity the poor guy on dialup.
  4. Thanks for the tip, Carlos. I did a bit of research on Comcast's site. They limit the maximum email file size to 10mb. With headers and encoding an email with this pic attached would be way over the 10mb limit. Many providers have a lower limit. I also learned that the providers bounce oversized emails without any form of notification going either direction. Quite the educational morning. I'd like anyone who wants a copy to be able to have one. How to accomplish this seems to be the issue. If you'd like to host the photo also, well, that's certainly fine with me. I don't intend to assert any form of copyright over it. As far as I'm concerned it belongs to us all. I uploaded the pic to my web space. http://home.comcast.net/~s_bumgardner/SquidNLonnaGroup.jpg (Right click save, folks.) If it gets downloaded enough they'll shut me down over bandwidth. If that's the case, well, downloaders'll just have to wait until next month.
  5. Thanks. You say that now, but...
  6. To the ice cream parlor we go.
  7. After dinner.
  8. The quilt presentation.
  9. More.
  10. Some more.
  11. A few snaps.
  12. By my count that was 67 people, a dog, and two birds.
  13. I've chopped up the photo so I can post some detail. Sorry about the sliceage. The original won't fit on here anywhere, but I'll be glad to send it to anyone who wants it. The image file is about ten megs in size.
  14. I looked, but couldn't find anything. I checked the MRF site and came up empty there also.
  15. I got my answer back from the Governor's office already. Biker Slicers are completely safe. Their use will be more than doubled in Indiana in the immediate future.
  16. I called 'em Biker Slicers when I filed my complaints with Governor Daniels and the Indiana DOT. Of course, I don't expect anything but a pat on the head and detailed directions as to how I can fold and where I can put my concerns, but I tried.
  17. This is truly sad news. Our sincerest condolences go out to Alice, and family.
  18. Congratulations Annie!
  19. Bill, Cindy, and all the committee members, Fantastic job, one and all! Irene and I had a great time!! Thanks for all the hard work! We heard some rumblings before we left The Hub. We're certainly in favor of doing it there again next year. So many curves and hills, so little time...

    I WON!!!

Well Dray, like Eck says, not the wisest thing. On the other hand, there's no doubt he needed it, and I'll bet it felt pretty good. From your side. I'm sure not mad at you, my friend.
  21. I believe those are the most inspiring nose hairs I've ever seen.
  22. I'm certainly interested, and I'm sure Irene will be too. I'll work on making a weekend of it.
  23. Probably. I'm 6' tall. I sat on my bike and pointed at where I wanted the top of the shield, then I measured down to that point. I called 'em up and ordered "Three inches under stock." I'm pretty sure that's what they're calling Medium. When I slouch slightly against the backrest I'm looking through the shield. When I sit tall I'm looking above the shield. That's exactly where I want it, though it might not work for others. I don't really notice the edge, but then I wear glasses and don't much notice them either.
  24. So close, yet so far. So very very far. You know, "No photos without permission" does seem like pretty good advice. Considering.
  25. That certainly inhales sharply through pursed lips, Brad. Sounds pretty familiar too. I signed my "pink slip" this morning. They're shutting down the Indy Navistar plant on July 31st. We've known about it for a while, but this makes it a lot more official. Ever onward, with 'em or without 'em.
