Heel - Toe shifter has to go!

Never used a heal toe shifter untill I bought my 09 Ultra. Took about a week to get used to it. I will say that I had trouble with bumping it into neutural taking off,but realized that I had my heal up ready to shift and just a little pressure with it on the shifter would move it. Stopped doing that and no problems. Love it now. Gil -
With my son and daughter riding their own bikes now, I tend to worry a little more and I constantley remind them to be very careful. I hear back, I know dad, and I say just reminding you, I have alot more miles under my belt than you. Really would like to see some commercals and billboards from the DOT reminding drivers to watch out for us. You see all kinds of commercals for food and stores having sales, etc. Can't ever remember seeing a billboard asking motorists to watch out for bikes. Heck you even see commercials reminding you not to text or talk on the phone while driving. We have been on the road longer than cell phones have been around. What about us riders????? Gil

He really didn't know how big the job would be or how long he would be working on it, but he is suppose to fly back into Detroit Tues. He said hopefully 10-14 hours Sunday and a short day on Monday. Gil

Well I have 2 bike also.....an 86 VR that I bought new.....and an 09 Ultra classic. My daughters bike is here that I take for rides while she is in Grad. school....its a 650 v star......when she comes home on breaks, she wants it running and in great shape so she can ride. When I take it for a ride, it feels like a toy. Gil

Buzzman ( Will Rogers) will be flying into Austin area tonight (3-12-11) for an emergency job. Don't know how buzy he will be,but said he might have time to meet members for dinner tonight or Sunday or Monday night. Already cost me....some inexpensive jewery and card, but it was something she was looking at. The main reason I posted this info was the fact that 27 years for my age group is a long time. Seems more and more couples are splitting up. I think its sad,but also realize that sometimes people just can't get along and it would be better that they seperated. I'm always happy for a person that finds their true soul mate after a divorce.

Gail and I got married 27 years ago today. I won't lie, we have had our ups and downs like everyone else, but I wouldn't trade our life together for anything else. She is a wonderful,understanding wife and great mother to our son and daughter. I sometimes don't know how she has put up with me all these years. I can honestly say that she is the best part of my life. Oh....and she likes to ride as much if not more than I do.

A few on this site have used the Harbor Frieght trailer frame and built from there. You could do a search to come up with more info.
