  1. spear...picked it up form post office late last week...scanned it and looks interesting...will watch this week hopefully...did send you a pm today...thanks much...ride safe
  2. I also have the above bar from tony....it was installed by the dealer when he put the lights on...it looks like part of the original equipment and blends right in...tony was great to deal with, very helpful, quick to ship and it is a great purchase for the price. hope this helps.
  3. custom dynamics also has bar....i have clear one on my black 07 venture and it looks good (i think) and is very bright when brake is lit...have also seen one before where all are on in running and brake mode...i also used double stick tape on the top of bar to stick it to the bottom of the trunk for more stability
  4. I had that alarm on my 07 vstar1300 and it was fine.....get the longer distance remote. On my new bike, 07 venture, i put a passive start alarm by Digital Guard Dawg (cheaper)-it has an rfid tag that is carried and unless near bike it wont start but no horn or page systems to notify like the scorpio.........your choice depending what you need...hope this helps
  5. as an addendum....the seat that rick butler modified was very comfortable and i recommend his work to anyone looking for a more enjoyable ride, at a great price, and quick on the turnaround.
  6. It was the first long ride of the new season and was a lot of fun...too bad taters was not feeling better but there will be lots more...the weather was beautiful, the company grand and a good day to be in the saddle so to say...and the ice cream, oh so good...........
  7. I agree with johnnyB above and did what he did....save some money any put two diamond R bars on instead one under the trunk and one under the rack on the trunk and you will have a lot more light for a third the price of yammys trunk light...just my opinion check out custom dynamics for a similiar bar and lots of other lights
  8. lets give thanks that your home, your progressing and will keep you in our prayers:happy34:
  9. Rick did my seat over the winter and in the past week i have taken two rides and it is great...looks the same but i no longer slide forward and instead sit back and into it...very comfortable without any pressure on the tailbone...also the narrowing of the front a little now means that my legs are not constantly rubbing on the seat... THIS IS HOW IT SHOULD COME FROM THE FACTORY...EVERYONE SHOULD HAVE RICK DO THEIR SEATS....he is great to work with and its a great deal for the price....can't wait to do a few hundred mile ride..:2133:
  10. dont worry about the cleaner-keep it...i'm sure we will be over again and will need it then...call when ready for more help.
  11. hey i went along cause they said i could use a hammer on someones bike...not the best but i did know what end to use...but bob will probably need to get more screwdrivers as we did bend a couple of his old ones getting the races out of the neck...hell it was fun though and i give him credit for doing all this work himself now just waiting to help tom with his project...will bring my own hammer this time:nanner:
  12. drill...what drill...i didn't see no stinking drill....... but you do need a bigger hammer.. anyway a good afternoons work done and just hope the box of parts we left bob with are for his bike... btw good thing bob knew what he was doing as i never took off a bikes front end before..sure is nice doing it on anothers machine the first time... just call if you need more help again bob...
  13. i'm sorry i dont remember the brand but on motorweek tv this last month in the garage section they were talking about bulbs (phillips or sylvania i think) and mentioned a new one for cycles that threw more light forward and also to the right side of the road...sounds like something to check for in your parts store...hope this is helpful
  14. tom congrats on the loss and well have to help you on our summer rides to keep it off.....looks like sherbert, low fat ice cream (skinny cow), or maybe just one less stops and smaller sizes with good balanced meals (have to watch the train stop)...well figure out something... good going.....spanky:thumbsup:
  15. if you use ride on does it cause problems when you have to check the air pressure or add/remove air from the tire ...i would hate to damage an expensive tire guage if ride on would gum it up....and can it be used with the tire caps that show the pressure i have a couple of the 36psi ones on the bike just for a quick check...
  16. bought one last year and he was great to work with....first quality product...looks nice on bike and is really not noticeable/blends right in...have not had to split the faring yet but know i will in the future and now have all the room i need...yamaha should design the bike like this or better yet just buy the design from tony and give him all the cash he can use.
  17. I believe that i read somewhere that the "flashing" and sequential running red brake/running lights may not be legal in all states and not in Canada. Please check before...there may be more info on the custom dynamics site.
  18. thanks for adding more features to what is already a great site
