UPDATE: Two years later my rates are higher but I increased my coverages. You can not compare prices without first comparing what your get for the price. Liability - Bodily Injury to others: 250k/500k Liability - Prop Damage: 100k Un/Under Insured: 250k/500k Medical: 25,000 each person Comprehensive: $0 deductible Collision: $0 deductible Accessory Coverage: $3,000 Road Side Assistance: Included Total price to me $866 if I pay it in full. That's not to bad. The little green lizard could not even come close.

It's the same weather here in MN. Snow, rain and cold. And the rivers are flooding. If I had a heated garage I'd be in it working on something.

We went to the Donnie Smith Custom Bike show in St. Paul, MN on Saturday. There were a lot of nice customs there. Everything from complete ground up builds to nice custom paint on Harleys. My wife took many photos and will be posting them to her photo blog over the next few days. She already put yesterday's and today's photos up. http://elisabethviola.blogspot.com/2009/03/its-all-in-details.html http://elisabethviola.blogspot.com/2009/03/pinkalicious.html http://elisabethviola.blogspot.com/2009/04/forerunners.html http://elisabethviola.blogspot.com/2009/04/riding-free-on-three.html http://elisabethviola.blogspot.com/2009/04/tangerine-dream.html Check back each day for more ...

We bought a Ozark Trail cabin tent last year and anyone that saw it at Pork in the Pines can tell you it is huge. We can put two air mattresses inside and it has a walk-in closet/changing room. This tent is great because you can stand up inside to get dressed. I bought it at Walmart at a great discount. http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=4664261 We just saw this camper trailer at the Donny Smith bike show in St. Paul on Saturday. http://timeouttrailers.org/campingtrailers.aspx I can see this in the future.

That is why I like Minnesota. The winters may be long but there are no snakes in the grass except the ones we elect, no giant spiders and no man eating bugs like you all have down south. BTW: The wind is howling and we're getting snow again. Up to 2 feet in the northern part of the state. Maybe only a few inches here in the Twin Cities.

A locale MN used bike dealer/salvage company has a 99 RSV for sale. http://www.sportwheel.com/Used%20Bike%20Images/92611999YamVenture$6999.JPG http://www.sportwheel.com/usedcycle.html

removed cassette, added gauges......done
juggler replied to jlh3rd's topic in Computer, Lights, Horns, Other Electrical
Nice idea. I like it, the only thing I'd do different is to use digital gauges to match the rest of the Venture instrument panel. I also worry about the MP3 jack being exposed to the elements. -

But she cried and she's sorry. Isn't that good enough? Are you so cold hearted that you'll condemn her for life? Ok, now that I go my Liberal side out of me, FRY HER!

One - your a damn good 3D artist. You may be what some are looking for when it come to making a 3D die cast metal Venture model. I'm not sure, but if the wire frame specs were given they would have less work to make the molds. Next, those 'vent' emblems on your tank are interesting. I've looked at those many time in the auto parts stores. I may take another look. I'm wondering where I could locate them to look good and not be a complete copy of your bike. Spring has sprung, well in my mind at least, and I'm thinking motorcycles again. Even as I look outside and see it is snowing again.

I just bought this http://www.geeks.com/details.asp?invtid=KAT-MATRIX&cpc=SCH I plan to mount it on the bike this year and get some real numbers for performance. Use to Measure your Vehicle's: Braking force Cornering Horsepower G-Force 0-60 second acceleration * 1/4-mile time/speed *

That is the worst tread separation that I've seen on a motorcycle tire. Almost looks like a semi-tire where the tread comes off of the casing.

I've lost one el-cheapo laptop on a trip. My guess is it vibrated on and cooked itself. The hard drive still works and I use it as my back-up drive for my Mac Book Pro. I take my Mac with me to work everyday on the bike or in the car and it's gone on about 2000 miles of road trips this year. I make sure it is powered off (not in sleep mode) and well padded. No more cheap non-padded laptop bags.

Corrupting the youth of today - new sidecarrist
juggler replied to greg_in_london's topic in Trike & Sidecar Talk
Upon close inspection you can see the mistake made here. The sidecar is on the WRONG side of the bike! -
Or get a Mac! I do not let my one remaining Windows computer direct access to the internet.

Cooking Thanksgiving Dinner has been my honor for a almost ten years now. It is something I really like to do. This year I will be expanding upon the Tur-Duck-en I did last year. I will be preparing and cooking a Tur-Goo-uck-en. That's right, a chicken stuffed into a duck stuffed into a goose stuffed into a turkey. Then add cornbread stuffing, buns, corn bread muffins and all the other sides. I took over the cooking duties a few years after my Dad died and I do my best to carry on the tradition of being a bit non-traditional and creating surprising dishes and serving things people have never had.

Sounds warm down there. It's 5 degrees here.
