  1. Wow, nice upgrade! Price of fuel by then who knows. It does have that confederate look to it though. Can you just picture it, redneck {no offense redneck} walks out to barn bored to death. Looks at pile of junk from years past piling up by the barn and says to himself "I'm going to make me one of dem dare motorcycles" ! A few hours later TA DA! Like the old saying goes "Necessity is the mother of invention" Or "Never underestimate the inventiveness of a Redneck". This one is real smart I don't see any duct tape. :rotfl:
  2. Just because I don't live in central VA, I'm not asked if I want to ride? What gives? Oh well, couldn't go anyway we are switching from snow to mud. Have fun.
  3. :rotfl::thumbsup2:The enforcer!!!!! Sounds like a good sideline business for you Dan.
  4. Great video, pilot knows his stuff. The whole time I'm watching it I can't get the question "Wonder how much fuel he's sucking up at how much a gallon" out of my head. Used to be I never gave it a thought. Ugh, have to get out of the house, this winter sucks. Need to waste my own gas.
  5. We are going to the southwest again this year and have already bought Joe Rocket mesh jackets for the trip. About 3 days ago we ordered vests from this place http://www.palmflex.com/techniche/cooling_vests.htm?gclid=CKyOnPmiwI0CFQGPWAodYwHgLg haven't received them yet to give any advice but the price wasn't bad.
  6. Have to say you are not alone. I watch it also. They could do away with the three idiots and it would be a better show. The talent is the best this year since it started. My pick would be Chakisi{?} he has got to do something with that name though. That guy has pipes!
  7. "sigh" till death to go for me. Oh yeah cinderalla by the sounds of it you better lock your doors and get a big dog!
  8. WOW, a little shell shocked are we? Political discussions are about "My dads better than your dad". The high price of gas is just the high price of gas. The last three are a prime example of "It's good to be king".
  9. Hey, would you fill up a can or two for me and bring it back if you go?:rotfl:
  10. Don't that just frost your marbles! The biggest baddest superpower and we still plead for our existence. :mo money::rotfl:
  11. Ahh yes, the annual gathering of the New York City Taxi Drivers on their bikes.:rotfl:
  12. Seen him 2 yrs ago at Graceland leaving.
  13. You say he's riding a Suzuki chopper? He's traveling for months at a time? Oh the pain! Unless he has a very comfortable seat or his butt is made of steel this guy must be invincible! But what a ride to do. I'm jealous.
  14. It seems that mother nature has waited until the end of winter to grace us with large amounts of snow. I can only hope that the old adge " March comes in like a Lion and out like a lamb" holds true.
  15. Can you say nappy time?????:rotfl:
  16. HOLY SMOKES JUST WHEN YOU'VE THOUGHT YOU'VE SEEN IT ALL! THATS THE BEST POLE RIDE I'VE EVER SEEN BY A RABBIT!:rotfl:
  17. Bored!, Bored! Whats that, why it's downright exciting sitting here at this computer. There is 14" new fallen snow, the wood stove is so very comfy, the grandkids have the house destroyed and the evil one is just like me, depressed. Things are so boring here about the only thing left to do to pass the time is start counting snowflakes!

    winter

Ok, I love riding my bike which is a summer thing. That being said there are other things to do which are only done in the winter. If the winter is snowy enough we like to build snow sculptures in our front yard. This endeavor requires many hands, shovels, rakes as it takes. Meaning any nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts or friends help for about 4 to 6 hours to transform a lump of snow to whatever we all agree upon. Try that in the south. Another winter endeavor we have is the fun {thats right fun} of sledding down a 1 mile hill. Their is nothing else short of riding our bikes that will put a smile on your face any quicker. Tonight I went to my brother -in- laws. He has been making Maple syrup for 12 years but tonight the conditions were perfect for fresh snow and the first batch of maple syrup. If you've never had this concoction you will never know the explosion of taste that this will leave on your mind. It's no wonder that making Maple syrup goes way back in time. Even though we b-t-h about a ice storm I have to tell you there is nothing more beautiful. When the sun shines upon everything covered in ice.... Its like mother nature adorned in diamonds. Cold, When you first step out into a bitter cold morning and take that first deep breath. Your definitely awake! That all being said ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! WINTER SUCKS!!!!!!!!! IT LASTS TO LONG!!!!! ITS COLD!!!! THE DA_N SNOW JUST WON'T QUIT! ISN'T IT BEAUTIFUL!!! :confused24::rotfl:
  19. Mine arrived today. Thanks a lot Cliff. Alan
  20. While I was driving reading the map on the steering wheel, putting on my sunscreen, screaming at the kids in the rear view mirror to quit fighting or I'll pull over, my cell phone rang in my coat pocket on the passengers seat, I reached over to answer it then I spilled hot coffee on my lap and to top it all off some biker is going to slow in the center lane ahead of me! The Nerve! Happens probably more than we think.

    David Mann

Excellent! A very talented artist who captured the chopper riders well. He definitely loved "Ape hangers" on his bike pics. Thanks, I agree, very good choice of song.

    vest pin

Thanks for all the answers. The pin was from the JELLO museum in Leroy NY. It dosen't bother me but the wife won't eat Jello anymore. :rotfl:
  23. Owl, I have12 lifters out of pontiac in scrape plie, but under snow and ice at the moment. If we get a thaw I might be able to find them. Do you have a time line before their not needed?

    vest pin

We have been purchasing pins or stickers on our destination trips. One of my wifes has had the pin break flush with the back of it. Anyone have a sure fire way of reattaching it? It can't be heated or it will ruin it. Ice & Boredom.
  25. I have never had a hydroplaning problem come up. But riding through South Dakota too fast with a 50 MPH crosswind I can tell you that a fully loaded Venture can become airborne. This happened when going over one of their bridges. The headwalls for the bridges are only about 3 feet tall built out of solid concrete. This makes for some pretty unusual wind currents when you go over them. I know this for a fact because the RPM increased considerably and the feeling of weightlessness was scary to say the least. :rotfl:
