    I fear the fuel pump has given up the ghost on my 06. Won't start at all with the choke out....maybe 1-2 clicks from the fuel pump when I turn the key. Tank full of fresh gas....new fuel filter....everything else working fine. They shoot horses don't they? Boomer.....well stuck for a while it looks like.....sigh.

    A good friend of mine in Connecticut (who is a Catholic priest) rides a Harley scoot. For the past 5 years he has sponsored his own "Annual Padre's Run" in Hebron Ct. Last year there were over 400+ riders who showed for the Event. He charges $20 per bike and ALL proceeds go to the families of those in CT who have lost someone to the war in Iraq/Afghanistan. The CT State Police donate their services for Escort and Blocker Duty. At the end of the 70 mile run there is Bar-B-Q , music/dancing at the Church. One heck of a shindig that continues to grow each year. :^) Kudo's to Father Mike for doing this....He pays for most of this out of his own pocket! Boomer.....who is known to Father Mike as "The Heathen"......

    Why not try a different tack on this....next time you see that LEO offer to have coffee with him at a local place. Sometimes it takes more effort to make a friend than it does to make a enemy....but the end results of friendship far outweigh anything else. Boomer.....who can send armed pygmies as a last resort....

    I keep posting my method for changing the oil on our 2nd Gens so here it is again.....lol The scoot takes 3 1/2 guarts of oil....any more than that MAY cause oil carryover and make a mess for ya.... Solution....Pour 8 ounces of oil into a measuring cup.....put 1/2 of this into your NEW oil filter and let it set for a minute or so before installing the Filter. Once Filter is in place add remaining oil in measuring cup and 3 quarts of fresh oil as well. With the scoot level you should see the oil level at the exact half-way mark on the sightglass. I have been using this method for over 2 years now....no overfill, no oil blowby, no mess on the scoot....period. Boomer.....who's dangerous with a wrench but has oil changes down pat.

    The memories I have of my 2 boys and the many talks we had give me the strength I need for being away from them now. I gave them cell phones and a paid up family plan for 2 years....we can talk all we want for free. :^) I sometimes get calls from them at 2am in the morning....and I love talking to them. They are old enough to realize that I won't live forever and they really want to talk to me as much as they can....and they are teens no less! Boomer.....who loves his sons more than life itself.

    I nailed a pheasant 3 years ago on a previous scoot....busted the windshield and headlight.....lucky it happened during daylight hours! Boomer.....who sez running over a pygmie will bring new words to your vocabulary too.

    Owen my friend they were not called The Greatest Generation for doing nothing. Their work and sacrifice built this Country. It will take Generations to restore our Country to the greatness that men like this did in just their lifetime. Boomer.....with respect and humility.
