    I ordered my HID from the Canadians onna Monday morning....it arrived in Thursdays mail....only 4 days!! Boomer.....who will be posting a report soon on the night riding with the HID.

    I been using that process with oil in the filter for years now....It's just something my Dad taught me when I used to help him in the garage with our family vehicles. :^) Never gave any thought to doing it different....I'm comfortable doing it my way and that's one of the few things I can do and not pooch up the works!! Boomer.....who is resistant to change except when it comes to seeing a gal change her clothes.....

    The scoot takes 3 and 1/2 guarts of oil with a new oil filter. I MEASURE 9 ounces of oil into a measuring cup.....fill up the oil filter and let it set for a few minutes to allow for absorbtion then dump remaining oil into crankcase. I then dump the 3 quarts of oil into the crankcase as well. this brings the oil level to exactly half way on the sight glass. My 06 has never leaked a drop of oil since I started doing this years ago. Boomer.....who sez oil under a scoot is only laughable when ya see the oil under a Harley.
