  3. I rode a 2007 RSV for aobut three years and was used to letting the engine rev up when shifitng, and that included down shifting a bit early, to keep the revs up when power might be neeeded. now that I have a GL1800 I find that I shift late in the RPMs and downshift before entereing a corner and downshift early when comming to a stop......... I wonder if I need to chage my ways.............. what do you think?
  4. Lack of riding skills or disrespect for the law?No, it is not simply disrespect for the law, it is disrespect for the safety and lives of others. I stand corrected. We should all ride and drive like the lives of others depended on it, because as Goose reminded us, it does.....

  8. as stated above, you need to bouce it off the rev limiter a few times to see what the bike can do, but make sure you wait till it is broken in..... the power in the Yamaha V4 is in the top 1/3 of the RPM band... let it spin up!!!!!!

  11. I normally go to Mapquest.com and build a route with the hotels I want to stay at each night I then make new trips for each day where I add points for meals, then add gas stops, if I am unable to get fuel next door to the restaurants.... I load them as trips into my Garmin 765t so I can pull them up by day/date to keep things clean. the trips are on Mapquest so i can send a URL to my ride buddies so they can either print a paper copy or they can load the same trips into their GPS units so we all can get there......
  12. I used the ceramic bead seat cover from http://www.beadrider.com however they also make a wodden bead seat also......
  13. A more direct link is: Employee Communications But you will still have to watch a commercial when you first open it up......
  14. I had a 2007 RSV that the original owner totaled.....oh that was me......
  15. Also if you look at the chrome parts of the exhaust you will notice that they are shileds, not pipes, so they should not get hot enough to melt most plastic. BUT be sure to leave some air space.
  16. Wings ain't cheep, nor are they inexpensive......
  17. On my GL1800 I slowed to 20 MPH in top gear and the bike acceletrate smoothly, but not as quick as if I geard down a few..... Oh and my engine is water cooled so I should get at least 150000 miles out of it before I get ANY engine issues.

    Moly 60.

If you mean Red Line CV-2 then I would say that Honda Moly60 is preferred as CV-2 does NOT contain molybdenum disulphide according to its MSDS I found HERE but according to it's web page HERE it contains "Red Moly" whatever that is....
