    Seafoam

Ok -- I am gonna be ignorant and ask. "What is Seafoam and what does it do?" I have seen references to it and it's raves, but don't know what it is. Also, I can't seem to find motorcycle specific oils anywhere I go. (except, of course, the dealers) WTF?
  2. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm Looks familiar
  3. Give Tom a PM - he found a pretty good deal on one.
  4. Let me proof-read your official correspondence.
  5. Shoot -- I even put together an Excel spreadsheet to track the scores (1-10) that the wife & I give each performers. It even averages the scores. Bad enuff? BTW -Freebird, bring that guitar down here and I'll hook up with you, as I play drums and am in a band. Perhaps you can sit in with us.
  6. I have an iPod Nano that I currently velcroto the gas tank. Are there ant good mounts that limit vibration and allow one to see the display without looking away (too far) from all the excitement ahead?
  7. Is it private property that we could rent or just get permission to use?
  8. Tom, great meeting you and Debby also. Thanks for the tour -- will do it again when we have more time and can give more notice.
  9. 80-85 after taking 5% speedo error into account on the 2000 RSV, but mileage suffers. Unfortunatly, I think it would be difficult to convince the law unless I let them take it for a spin.
  10. Thanks. Tom -- we will be there around mid-afternoon. Colder here than expected, so we will get a little bit later start than planned.
  11. Most likely on the E.S. thing.
  12. We decided, rather impulsively, to make a weekend run from Dallas to Fredericksburg, Tx. tomorrow. Was wondering if any members might have suggestions for rides, good restaurants, and/or bars. I have never been there, but a co-worker has given me a few ideas. Since we are leaving Sat. morning and won't take a computer, any thoughts on Friday night would be appreciated. Also, if anyone is in that area, maybe we could get together. We are staying overnight at the Hog Stop Inn (one of those suggestions).
  13. Ain't no gremlins -- hung mine on a helmet lock. It's at the back and can catch my exhaust as I roll by the cagers and pull them along.
  14. Just a thought, but my band is playing in Dallas this Saturday night (2/9) at the Skillman Street Pub from 9-1. Just thought it may be an opportunity for some of our members to meet. It is just north of 635 (LBJ) on Skillman. Address is 9220 Skillman. I would like to meet some of you folks from the D/FW area.
  15. Dang, Mike -- that is a really nice scoot. Sorry to see you dropping out of the picture. We enjoyed meeting you in ES. Good luck. Also, I agree that you can get more for that machine.
  16. Sorry to be ignorant, but what is Stardays?
  17. In Dallas they use mostly paint, but a few spots have those buttons. I just go around them.
  18. OK -- I know I saw a thread on replacement bulbs for the passing lights on the RSV 2nd Gens. Darned if I can find it. I just need to know the best, most-liked, awesome bulbs that you guys have seen so I can replace mine. The bulb is not listed inthe parts catalog from Yamaha (at least that I could see). Thanks in advance for your assistance.
  19. Saddle Sore, but the co-pilot doesn't share the sentiment. Hmmm....perhaps I should just take off on my own, but I'd get tracked down.
  20. I've done a lot of stupid things on 2 wheels, but some of the stunts I have seen recently have affirmed why most people (cagers) have little or no respect for the rest of us. Of course, my stupid things were conducted while fully in control.
  21. Well -- thanks to you and yours! Glad you have had a good Christmas. We are half-way into Christmas Eve here in Dallas. Think I'll take the scoot out tomorrow since it's going to be 62 or so.
  22. Spill it -- we don't need predators who take advantage of the kinship on a site like this.
  23. I put Metzlers on the scoot about 3500 miles ago. So far, so good. Good wear (mucho bettero than the Dunfloppeds) and none of the stated problems mentioned in previous threads. They handle well and I can discern no construction flaws. I did notice that my set was made in Germany. It seems that most problems are from the Brazilian-made tires. Just passing the info along. My riding is mostly 2-up and I tend to like to twist that thing on the right handlebar. I have none of the squirreliness (is that a word?) on grooved pavement or tar snakes previously noticed with the OTHER tires. I would recommend these with a note of caution to pay attention to the country of manufacture.
  24. Mine came yesterday as well. Looks great! Sounds so good that I may add it to my drum set next time we play out.
  25. There is no problem riding with one hand. The bike stays pretty steady for having the full lower fairings also.
