Now that the Tour Deluxe is gone - I picked up a new project. A guy had a an in the local shopper selling a 1950 F1 pickup for 500 but it was more of a project than I wanted to tackle. He had bought it to restore but found a better one and it was all done. So I asked him if I could see it and he opened his shed that had several cars he had redone. 64 Galaxy, 50 Ford F1, an old Lincoln, a Ford Street Rod, and two 53 Mercs. The first one was done 10 years ago and the other he had just finished. He used the interior and chrome from his first car to do the second. The he said he wanted to sell the other car that runs great and has all the parts and is solid - it just needs put together. Long story short - I bought the fixer upper at a great price! Now I have something to keep me busy!!! The first pictures are the car I bought and the last few pictures are of his car. If any of you want to come help me put it together - let me know!

Here are some pictures from Friday nights social gathering, the eve of the real Bull S****ing day. Had roughly 140 people and upwards of 80 bikes there. Service was spotty, some got food late, but with 140 people coming in it could have been worse. They didn't have enough tables for all of us, some of the huskier members carted picnic tables & regular tables around. It was not bad all around though. Weather was great. Gary

1983 yamaha venture royale I am new here... currently checking valves ... bike has 63000 miles, and i don't think the valves have been done in a long time. 1. When I follow the yamaha manual's instructions and bring it to top dead center, or even anywhere near there, I can not get a gauge in to find the gap- could they seriously be that tight? 2. I am very confused about the valve shim tools available. I ordered one, following a thread on here saying that I could use a suzuki/yamaha tool. It is not here yet, but after reading some other threads I fear I have ordered an unnecessary piece of steel. What tool is commonly used... has anybody ever made one? 3. I have seen the great play by play on here on how to do this job, but the measurement task is a little fuzzy in the reading. Does anybody know of a video or pictures? Sorry, lots of pictures is how I learn. Thanks a lot.

Subject: Comorants - Send to all of your fishing buddies that fish (and own shotguns) If some ******* tree-hugger tries to tell you that Cormorants don't eat game fish, check out these pictures and think again. The Double-Crested Cormorant, an excellent reason to keep a loaded 12 gauge in your boat.

I just completed building a "lift frame" for my 2008 Venture. I would like to thank "Carbon one" for his pictures and diagram of his lift frame. It really helped me out in making mine. Carbon one used 1&1/4" tubing for his lift frame. I was a little uncomfortable with this size tubing so I really when over the edge for strength. I used 2" X1/4" thick square steel for the main frame and the 1&1/4 for the cross beams. I also installed an additional support cross member. Its simple to build and I will be writing up an article with pictures to put in our site here for all to see and possibly use. Hope that is helps someone out. If you need the directions now with pictures you can write me at Dan4852@aol.com and I will send you photo's and a diagram. I feel very secure with my bike up in the air with the 2" steel framing. The bike is perfectly level and very secure. Note: Because I used the 2" steel framing with the 1&1/4 on top for cross beams I was unable to get it fully under the bike. My motorcycle jack would not go down any more so I raised the bike up by driving it up on running board. Just a little heigth was all I needed. It went right under then and up went the bike. I get goose bumps with the 2' steel beams!! ha ha

Billy Joel - Restart The Fire This song & its title was answer to a recent Final Jeopardy -- only one person got it right -- question was (paraphrased) "What 1980's song do history teachers praise for its educational value." Never could understand all the references on Billy Joel's song -- fortunately, with this VIDEO, given the picture(s), now can "see" what our "ears" couldn't. Anyway, checked to see purpose behind the song. Apparently, it's Joel's homage to the 40-years of historical headlines since his birth (1949). Wish we could have appreciated the depths of this song when it was released. Twenty years later, it's amazing what Joel was able to put into music and lyrics lasting only a few minutes. Here it is, set to pictures. It's a neat flashback through the past half century. Turn up volume, sit back and enjoy a review of 50 years of history in less than 3 minutes! Thanks to Billy Joel and some guy from the University of Chicago with a lot of spare time and Google. Top left gives you full screen....top right lets you pause. Bottom left shows the year. The older you are, the more pictures you will recognize. Anyone over age 65 should remember over 90% of what they see. But it's great at any age. I had to watch it 3 times to even get most of the pictures. Click Here: We Didn't Start The Fire
