Some of you know it already but for those who aren't aware of the change. New Enough has changed their name to Motorcycle Gear. I have replaced the old newenough.com banner with the motorcyclegear.com banner. They are a great company and through your purchases, have donated several hundred dollars in gift certificates to our club and 100% of those contributions have been returned to members here in the form of raffles, prizes, etc. Please continue to select venturerider.org as your club of choice during the checkout process when you purchase from motorcyclegear.com The company has not changed. It has not sold and is not under new management. They have just changed their name to reflect the fact that they are no longer a used motorcycle garment dealer as they started out but are now a great vendor of NEW quality merchandise at great prices.

Thought I might share this information - this was sent to me by a friend who sponsors a good size rally here in Northern California - Big Bike Weekend. Seems this vendor may travel around. Look out for "bad" motorcycle merchandise vendors. During this year's BBW event an attendee purchased a helmet from Sports Equipment Extreme (vendor's name was Mark Raynes from San Dimas). The attendee never got his helmet and the business card and contact information isn't good. Sports Equipment Extreme also vended at the Golden Aspen Motorcycle Rally in New Mexico and they are having the same issues.

Looking for someone who is a painter in my area to paint a trunk for my RSTD. They can be someone from the board or a body shop who does motorcycle paint work. But I don't want to break the bank. Anyone have anyone in mind? Thanks Joe :scratchchin:

:wow:LAS VEGAS — Las Vegas police are looking for an armed casino bandit who escaped on a motorcycle with perhaps $2 million worth of gambling chips from the posh Bellagio hotel-casino. Police Lt. Clinton Nichols told The Associated Press the robbery happened quickly. He says the bandit wore a full-face motorcycle helmet as he displayed a gun in a casino pit area then demanded chips and sped away on Flamingo Road on a black sport-style motorcycle. Detectives are reviewing video and camera images of the robbery that occurred just before 4 a.m. Tuesday at the Las Vegas Strip resort. No shots were fired and no one was injured. My question now would be - how the heck do you get ride of those chips - the person must have a lot of friends - LOL.

sorry, this may be a duh question. I'm a classic Yamaha fan... just recently rebuilt a xs 750 triple. I saw this big bad beauty(83 venture royal) at a local used motorcycle place, with a nice winter project price tag, and couldn't resist. so every Japanese motorcycle has its own engeneering secrets and issues to overcome. I located where the oil goes in on the lower rear/right of the bike... but the cap had no dip stick? how do you check the oil? thank you all in advance.

Can't even let the man go to work anymore. He was on location waiting on a rig to move, so he got bored and started watching an auction on Iron Planet on his iPad. Called me and said he goofed or something like that and that he had won a bid that he placed and bought a motorcycle. I asked..."It ain't one that looses parts is it?" Yup it is. He got a 06 Harley. Think he said it is a soft tail, and something about Screaming Eagle. Now how to play this to my advantage....Heee hee. LOL

I was thing my nex bike I might get a Goldwing. For some reason I was looking on Greg List. I ran across this add. http://indianapolis.craigslist.org/mcy/1932148949.html It look like a good price for the condition it looks like it in $5300. I look at the retail value up on KBB $6565 and Trade in value (Good Condition) $4525. The Voyager kit is $4095 Which I would take off and store it So I email the guy no phone number on the add. I was going to go look at it. But the bike is not in Indy it in Montana. Here is the email the seller sent me. Hello, I am selling this motorcycle because my unit has been sent back to Afghanistan and don't want it get old in my backyard. The price is low because I need to sell it in one week. It has no damage, no scratches or dents, no hidden defects. It is in immaculate condition, meticulously maintained and hasn't been involved in any accident.I do have the title , clear, under my name. The motorcycle has 28,788 miles, year 1996 It is still available for sale if interested, price as stated in the ad $5,300.The motorcycle is in Great Falls, MT, in case it gets sold I will take care of shipping. Let me know if you are interested, email back. Regards, Daniel Swaine If it is not a scam and some knew of someone that wanted a Voyager Kit for a Wing. You colud sell the kit and have a nice Goldwing could be a good deal. I just want buy anything like that of the net unless I can see and ride it. I was thinking I would get it for a second bike.

This is the 2010 MotoCzysz E1pc, a race bike built by a tiny Oregonian company focused on pushing the limits of electric performance to the absolute max. It packs 10 times the battery capacity of a Toyota Prius and 2.5 times the torque of a Ducati 1198 into a package that looks like something out of a 24th-century Thunderdome. Tomorrow it will race in the Isle of Man TT, the toughest motorcycle race in the world. The technology at work is so advanced, so unprecedented, that we may be looking not just at the future of motorcycles, but of all electric vehicles. http://www.popsci.com/cars/article/2010-06/inside-story-motoczysz-e1pc-worlds-most-advanced-electric-motorcycle

I currently ride a 2008 GW. http://www.stopngo.com shows a hose that supposedly connects to the GW compressor for the shocks that allows airing up a flat tire. Any one know anything about this? Where is the connection located? How difficult to make? Seems to me that it would be much nicer to carry one of the hoses rather than a mini-compressor. On the web site select motorcycle, then scroll a little past half way down to see the item. There is a six foot hose and a ten foot hose. Any idea if the six foot one gives plenty of reach for both tires? Thanks for any thoughts. Mel

I notice that most of the profiles have a small USA map posted with various states colored in. I asume this is to show either 1) states visited or 2) states visited by motorcycle. Let me know which it is, and how I can post my own. I've been in every state in the Union, and most by motorcycle, and some places in Canada and Mexico. Thanks for the assist.

I rode over to Chandler to the old Seaba Station. It has been turned into a Motorcycle Museum. They do not have all the bikes in yet. It was still pretty interesting. Starting this Sunday (Aug 29th) and ever last Sunday of each month they will have a breakfast ride in. It will start at around 8:30am or so. It is located 5 miles west of Chandler Ok on Route 66. Here is photo show" http://www.photoshow.com/watch/TS7Ve6Df

The Back To The Bricks car show/Cruise is going on in Flint Michigan now thru Saturday, Same time as the Woodward Dream Cruise this weekend. So the Daughter and I went down the cruise route to check out the cars. At the end of the route in Grand Blanc we pulled into the Grand Mall where all sort of things are going on. We were directed to a motorcycle parking area where next thing I know we are being registered for the motorcycle show. Lots of Harley's, old Honda's and my dirty Yamaha. It was a show what you rode kind if thing. The pictures are , my Bike and a PERFECT Honda CBX in line 6 cylinder. Have no idea who won because we left shortly after the tornado warning sirens started going off.
